The old -school Bleecker Buckets were pretty awesome too! I have a few various sized ones. This one looks really great!
Thanks ladies. I'm really hoping that this purchase will help keep me from spending on legacy that I don't need. It had caught my eye on eBay several times but it was always priced way too high. I think it's a handy, comfortable size too. Can't believe all the pockets it has!
I'm with you Jessi on the new legacy. I am beginning to think I really want most of the bags just for the tassels. I was thinking of buying the FNO strap kit in a neutral color to dress up some of my older bags, just occasionally for fun, and to switch the tassel on other bags, but I think I've talked myself out of it. They don't make it in cognac, which I think would be a perfect color to mix and match. I started thinking about Camel, which would go with a lot of my other stuff, but my Patsy is camel, has a nice long strap that is the same size (so if I wanted to use it on my old duffle I could) and then realized I'm really just in it for the big old tassel...maybe some day I'll get a deal on something on eBay. Just the fact that I can't decide what I want makes it a little easier. I will have issues if they ever come out with the Rory in emerald as I've seen rumored though.
I did very well yesterday at the Savers and all of my Coach items are authentic, see links below.
I also got a gray Lovcat wristlet for $2.40, a black and gold beaded La Regale bag for $4.80, and today at Goodwill I got a pink Lauren cosmetic bag for $2. I will have to post of pics of my non-Coach finds elsewhere on TPF. It's been a good weekend!

I have been pretty lucky with the PL bags, this is my 3rd genuine find. But I still haven't found a legitimate Taft bag and my track record for genuine vs. fake bucket/duffle type bags is around a 50/50 split.

there was a rather beat up Coach Ali legacy bag at the thrift shop for $20 today - I passed it up, the leather was SO worn it faded from black to grey on the bottom of the bag probably from rubbing against the previous owner's pants while worn. Is there any way to revive that? I was thinking of going back to pick it up if it could be salvaged.
I am not expert with vachetta leather legacy bags but there are several things that can be done to revive faded glove-tanned bags. Sometimes just cleaning and moisturizing works wonders. I would buy it if I had the chance, at that price it's worth trying to save it!
If you get it post pics in the coach rehab and rescue club and the rehabbers will try to advise you. Good luck!

cool...I've looked quite a bit on various sites and hadn't found anything that called my name. Lots of the ones I found online weren't real leather.
I have this scrap of just about British Tan leather that would work to make one or two if I thought I could cut it straight enough, but I'm not good at things like that.
