I've been so afraid of Craigslist, but that lovely wine flap makes me reconsider. That bag is beautiful. $30 w/ dust bag, is downright unbelievable. Congrats on your new additions :D

Thank you! I love looking at the finds in this thread. I've never had in the luck at SA or GW. I've checked Craigslist in the past with no luck. Something just told me to check again. I was nervous, too. But, once I started communicating with the seller I decided to give it a try. We actually met at her house.

Random and shockingly found this on the floor (among 2 other Coach bags) so the price was typical price of a bag, $3.99. I think is was the Op Art crossbody bag since the number is #43107 inside! :okay:

I stumbled into one, completely unexpected and ridiculously serendipitous.

Over the last few months, I've done the occasional browse on ebay for my favorite style of mini-wallet. Remember that old kind? With the pleats and the horse and carriage plaque? And in the old leather, from before crossgrain and saffiano took over.

Conversely, I've also browsed on Coach's website, watching the powder pink color and thinking how much I loved it.

So this past weekend, we spent some time at a nearby "antique mall", hubby browsing for comic book character figurines. (For Father's Day, daughter and I put together a huge collection of action figures/bobble-heads, representing almost every Marvel/DC superhero that my husband follows ... which is a lot, considering the sheer number of comic books this man has collected over his lifetime. For those hard-to-find characters, we thought maybe we'd have luck with second-hand .... and sure enough, the antique mall had "Shazam" and "Impulse" (who is apparently the Flash's grandson --- news to me, lol.) )

Anyway, I did find a few vintage Coach bags, that I might have bought if I'd have thought I'd use them, but nothing really was love. *Then*, while hubby browsed a humongous stall of Comic characters, and daughter and I were killing time at nearby stalls, here was this absolute *gem*. Powder pink, Madison style mini-wallet, horse and carriage plaque. I only even noticed it, tucked away in a glass case as it was, because we had so much time to kill we were literally studying everything. Here was my favorite style, in the color I've been crushing on, and in almost perfect condition. There are a few small chips on the plaque, but other than that this thing barely looks used. I gave it a basic wash-down and conditioning, and the leather is just wonderful!

Price? $18. Better than just about anything comparable on ebay. I suspect it was reduced because it was with items that weren't selling. .... Well geez, the cabinet was so full you could barely see it! No wonder no one else snapped it up.

And if I may add one more whine ...... I miss these older wallets. More precisely, I miss the boutique Madison line. :shucks:

Congrats on your Pretty Pink Wallet! It was there just for you :)

Just acquired new to me 2004 Fall Special Edition Vintage Signature Shoulder Bag in blue/brass style #7063. I've been looking for something in blue from this collection for a while, and this one is just perfect. Not too small, like its little sister 7061! And blue is super hard to find! It looks so good with jeans I'm not surprised that people aren't willing to give them up. This was $60 shipped. I found the matching wristlet too but won't get it until Thursday.
