i see them at the barneys wearhouse sale specifically in your size each year. Size 35 is left and size 42

Really?! I've never been so lucky. I don't even see 35 in the store. And they run so big you can't even cheat with a 6. I just realized you're probably talking about heels whereas I only buy flats. Alaia heels are too high for my small feet.

I did take a chance on a pair of flats that were noted as running small at theOutnet. They were less than $300 so it's not too bad if they don't work.

Straight Laced - How do these run?

Are they true to size or runs big?

Im normally a US 10, 40.5 in CL's and YSLs

Should i go just 40 or 39.5 on these wedges?

And the wedges sizing apply to both the calf height and ankle height???

Good luck with the boots. I have the suede cut out ankle strap pumps and they're one of my favourite shoes of all time
I've had them for ages and I still cherish them as if I'd brought them home yesterday
And in my experience Alaia boots grip the ankle and follow the curve of the leg like a GLOVE!!

amacasa I haven't tried the cut out wedge boots for size, only the pumps.
In the cut out wedge pumps I went up half a size from my usual Italian shoe size, so I bought a 38.5 instead of a 38. My US size is 7.5 - 8 and I don't have a narrow foot.

Re Alaia sizing generally, only the flats run big. Go down half a size or a full size in the flats.

Heels are usually true to size or run half a size small, and are often on the narrow side. But they're a much more forgiving fit than CL's. I've never found a pair of Alaia's that I couldn't wear, unlike CL's.

im so full of boring shoes - normal shoes

ive come to a realization that life is too short and i want to try outrageous shoes before i die... but then its hard as my DH is so conservative...

I experimented with these givenchy/ ann d. looking shoes but were only aldos and wore them to pieces for 5 months... and he tells me yesterday " i don't really like those kind of out of this world shoes"

DUH!!!
I wonder what he will say when the Alaia arrives.. they are the slash suede boots...

Oh well, i will be ready with a glass of water if he gets chest pain.

Oh my goodness, those are amazing! Of course like a couple other people on here, I wear a size 35, and my experience has been that his 36s run too big on me. If any of you see a unique pair on sale in a size 35, please PM me.

They arrived and they are perfect!!!

I ordered these boots I have been coveting from the Outnet sale and they are absolute perfection! Exactly how you described, Straight-Laced, they hug my leg like a glove. Totally in love! I sprayed them down with Garde suede water and stain protectant last night, and hopefully I can get a modeling pic to post tonight.
