I've seen this and it is lightweight summer silk
Surprisingly it sold the first day here even at that price!
What is remarkable about it however is that you really can wear it casually and the embroidery isn't heavy
I would also love to have this but the price is exceptional
But if you had one I really think it could be worn many ways
The Phoenix on the center makes it worn as a true shawl very compelling

How wonderfull to have even seen it, just curious did it have any beaded detail on it to justify the price at all.

Brides de Gala

I tried it on in the store a few years ago, but didn't get it :(

Extremely soft, mottled blue silk, dyed with natural indigo pigments in Bangladesh, hand-hemmed with orange thread, exceptional in several ways but especially that it is very much under the radar and the complete opposite of the embroidered, be-sequined shawls:

Thank you my dear BritAbroad! I too waited before pulling the trigger on this one, as I wanted to have a look on the Rouge. My SA told me that the Rouge was finally never issued, sigh... So I grabbed this one, just in time!

Oh, interesting, that explains why we never saw it, maybe it didn't quite turn out to expectations in the Rouge?

I think H had issues with this Rouge. I made a detailed enquiry, you now know I'm a painful troublemaker! ;) No one at H could tell he/she could have a look on this one. Maybe the Rouge remained a deceiptive prototype. The fabrication process is tough, so this could explain that. I have some Chinese tops made of cotton lacquered by plunging hem into tea. Very hard to come by, as many have to be rejected. Maybe H had a similar issue with the red one?

You will love the way it feels
Very luxurious but lightweight
It is absolutely a work of art
I haven't worn mine yet- still cold where I am-sigh ....
I've ordered a peice of H RTW to go with it as well
It's not in yet but hopefully soon
I have a series of events in May that I'm looking forward to wearing both scarf and RTW.
Please share your thoughts once you see this exceptional scarf
The box it comes in will make you laugh
It's massive !!

Thank you for your advice,
How wonderfull you have ordered something from the RTW collection to go with would love to hear what it is how exciting,
enjoy your busy May time hope you have it for then

arabesques, I asked my SA just today about the embroidered Phoenix 140 scarf and it also I think must have beaded sections on it also as the price was so high, so I think even though the design I love the size plus beads would make it to heavy for me plus I would never have anywhere to wear such a beautifull item.

Dreamy!

Loving all these! My unexceptional scarves are all exceptional enough for me for now but I am  over pics of all yours.

I would have dug deep in my H-wallet for a jeweled Le Pegase Lumiere d'Hermes but somehow managed to reason my way out of bringing one home (I am steel :robot:) .

Here are some more pics from purseblog that shows both cws and a close-up http://www.purseblog.com/accessories/hermes-le-pegase-lumiere-shawl.html

Also BdG shawl from a few years ago that Lutz found

I've been meaning to post mine since this thread started. I am lucky enough to own two of these beauties--the Brides de Gala Cashmere-Silk and the Pegase in stain chiffon. I've worn the Brides de Gala for special occasions and I have not worn the Pegase--yet.

But I love (and am grateful for) them both and they are S P E C T A C U L A R !!!
