i didn't find a dedicated thread for hermes' "exceptional" scarves, so i am starting this one.


"exceptional" scarves are the pieces that hermes creates with intricate hand beading or embroidery, and they are very expensive.


for example, this is a picture of the exceptional pegasus shawl that i found on the web.

How does it look worn around the neck? I never got to see it in person but was fascinated when my SA told me how it was made. I was told it almost looks like leather.

Heavy but SPECTACULAR....and soooo expensive!

Lovely pic Anfang and as you say very hard to capture the real beauty of this one , I also wear mine tied as loose as possible to stop creasing, and when I remove it like all my other scarfs I lay over my top bannister to remove any creases also.

You're right on this, ladyjane, this one can only be worn very, very loose! Anyway, to me it is and remains a stunner. I don't regret it!

Thank you my dear BritAbroad! I too waited before pulling the trigger on this one, as I wanted to have a look on the Rouge. My SA told me that the Rouge was finally never issued, sigh... So I grabbed this one, just in time!
