Shall drop a word in my SA's ear to alert me if one of these is shipped to my H. They had a Pegasus au Bloc recently, but I wasn't temptedDear xincinsin, you are soo right! The pics does not do it justice, though... The scarf is even more stunning IRL. It is literally goosebumpily beautiful IYNWIM...

Thank you so much!!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!! The Pegasus is really pretty but was not for me either.Shall drop a word in my SA's ear to alert me if one of these is shipped to my H. They had a Pegasus au Bloc recently, but I wasn't tempted![]()
I am about to consider getting the beaded Jaguar Quetzal It is soo beautiful:

The only thing not beautiful about it is the price. So I want to get some input before spending so much money on a scarf that will not get worn as much as my "bargain beater scarves".
How do the beaded silk scarves age? The SA even said the beads are prone to falling off
It seems to be very hard to care for them, can they be hand washed like other scarves?
How about ironing beaded silk scarves?
How does the back side look? (it is gone from my home store by now)
Is it worth the investment?
When do you wear those gorgeous pieces? Are they hard to pull off (is this the correct phrase)?
IIRC some exceptionals come with a special box, does this one???
Should I go for it? (it makes my heart sing, but I have a brain as well...)

Thank yo for your answer. So were you able to find this scarf in Europe after all? That’s exciting!
I can’t answer a lot of your questions, but will answer what I can. From my experience the beads can fall, but it depends how careful you are I’m sure. The spa can repair these scarves, but I do remember Quelle Fromage that had a bad experience with a spa repair of an exceptional scarf (a cleaning that went very wrong, but I believe this was in NYC, so Paris may do a better job if that is where your spa items go). Also, this scarf does come with a special box.
Thank yo for your answer.
I read you bought an exceptional. Which one?
What does the special box look like?

Honeylocks, I don’t have the answers but will share my similar kind of dilemma...I was offered in Nantes two years ago a most stunning Jardin the Leila exceptional and I’ve regretted it ever since that I didn’t get it. I buy several CSGMs every year and I’d rather exchange 6-7 of my CSGMs if I could have the JdL, because it was so heavenly. The reason why I rejected the offer was that I was so unprepared, didn’t know anything about it, even asked the SA how many had been made but never got the info. I was on a roadtrip in Europe and I like to plan my purchases, therefore usually no regrets. I hope I will come across that piece someday in future and make the right decision, using my heart instead of my brain.
Good luck deciding. Perhaps it helps if you contemplate what you would rather have, the exceptional JQ, a nice Hermès bag or a piece of jewellery?
