here's my bf's bday gift to me...i've been wanting this ring for a while just because of how simple, not so "bling-y" it is. It's the perfect everyday ring IMO.

I don't know the exact specs on it, but overall it's around .5 carats I think, and it's VVS diamonds :)

I usually like the smaller, finner rings, even though now I'm starting to
appreciate all of the bigger rocks as some of you ladies have modeled on this thread :graucho:

I LOVEEEE your rings! I love smaller rings as well, I've never been into big rings. You have gorgeous rings! I also love the aquamarine. I'm looking for one for myself b/c my DF's birthstone is aquamarine.

Wow, there are some great rings on here. Wow! Wow! I am in awe of some of the big cocktail rings. I love a large ring, which is funny, as I have tiny, little kid hands. But man! Like those in some of the very original posts. . . and PeanutBabyCakes more recent acquisition. Holy Man!

On an everyday basis, if I wear a RH ring, I usually wear this big ol' knuckleduster, a turquoise mosaic cross by a really interesting Zuni jeweler. (And man, did my bad lighting and Macro setting give me some fugly hands!)

If I wear something sparkly, it's family stuff. Like this amethyst is rose gold that belonged to my great grandmother.

Or this pink garnet with seed pearls that also belonged to my great grandmother, with a bunch of tiny stacking rings). I like bigger rings, so I like to *beef this little one up,* lol.

I just got this, from my DH's family. His grandmother (who loved sparklies--real and fake-- more than you can imagine) passed this along. It's nothing terribly fancy (the fancy stuff went to MIL and a couple of aunts) and needs sizing and a little cleaning and repair, but it's a pale blue topaz with a few diamonds in white gold. But it was my DH's grandmother's and matches some little Jude Frances dangly earrings I have. So I'll wear it. I mean, I like it. Really! But it's got some setting issues and is going to take a good bit of work to get it truly wearable, I think.

maniacalmollie, I adore everyone of your Rings and the stories behind them....Makes them all the more precious!
My fave is the Amethyst with Rose Gold, the setting and colour is just sooo pretty!

Thanks. I like them a lot, too. Most of my jewelry is family stuff-- one side liked sparkly stones, the other really interesting Native American pieces. Need to get DH back into buying jewelry, too, though. I REALLY need a new watch. But I only want to spend on a really good one (Cartier or *better*) so we keep waiting and I keep wearing inexpensive ones-- usually a sport watch or nothing!

Royal-- I really like that ring!
