Decided to have another go at rotating my bags. Sakura Swift Plume 20 from a few years back, with my pink Sevres porcelain Holiday Pendant. BabyDior girl’s dress.

well it certainly feels like I got this bag like 20 years ago.
I don't know the price but I did try on a Plume 32 not too long ago at my store (within the last 2 years or so). Quick question: Which Plume is right for me - and which one did I try??
I have been eyeing a pre-loved Plume 32 in toile for a while. I have been through this whole thread, trying to figure out if it will be a good fit for me. On the one hand I want to use the bag for work and carry my laptop once in a while, on the other hand I prefer smaller bags. And I am short, 160 cm.
Today, I happened by a lovely vintage store where a Plume was in the window. I popped in and asked to try it. It was absolutely lovely (and also toile like the one I am considering). AND it fit my Surface laptop (21x30 cm) easily. I did not find it too big.
The SA did not know its size, and now I have started wondering, if it could have been a Plume 28 I tried? Based on what I have read on tPF the 32 is quite big and almost like a briefcase. Could my laptop fit in a Plume 28 or was it a 32? If it was a 32 I will go ahead and order the 32 I am thinking about because the size is actually fine for me!

I have both, neither feels like a briefcase
Not sure I have a mod pic of my 28 (the Chocolate brown). Basically the 28 holds nearly everything that a 32 (Vert Bambou) you wouldn't get anything 30cm in it. The 28cm is slightly slimmer. You can see the water bottle would not fit in the 28cm zipped, only unzipped. You get only 4cm more lengthwise in the 32, but the bag feels a bit more boxy, so actually the 32 feels less like a briefcase.

Yes! I received my lovely pre-loved Plume today! Presenting Plume 32 in toile:
I am back with some feedback on using the Plume 32 as a work bag
In sentence: it works! It easily holds everything I need, including my laptop, and when I need to carry a jacket I just put it between the handles so it doesn’t have to go inside the bag. I also like that when I don’t zip it closed (I know, but it happens…) it folds together and is less “formal”. Perhaps it is because it is toile?
I don’t think that it for me will be a bag that could crossover and be a bag for non-work activities (sightseeing, shopping, museums), because I prefer an easier shoulder or crossbody carry option for that. Also it is a little big and formal for my taste. But for work, perfect. Especially with more laidback shoes like sneakers I feel that it balances well
And speaking of a Plume to wear outside of work - I may have bought a lovely Plume 20 for that…….
