Snakes creep me out-I could never carry one. After reading how they kill the pythons in another thread...in good conscience I don't think I could buy one, but I like the styles of the bag!

My 'new' beauty. Not strictly a bag but a case

Black shiny croc vanity case ghw shut and open (it's fitted out in red padded leather and black croc)

Hi everybody! I'd like to share some info about the vintage Escort exotics. Here's a page from a new book, "Exotic Skin: Alligator and Crocodile Handbags" that features 2 Escort handbags (black alligator ca 1960s and brown Tegu lizard ca 1950s). The lizard is similar to yours. You'll find about 800 pics of beautiful collectible bags (500+), lovely ads from vintage Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and very extensive info on history, makers, trends, various skins and prices. Beautiful and informative!:smile1:

Oh I am so excited, I am going to add pics of my bags. I am newbie but I have found some pretty good handbags. My problem is distinguishing the skin, so if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. I love this thread and your bags are absolutely beautiful!

Okay so here are my skins...
This one reminds me of the previous post; I didn't know the name of it, but now I guess it is an Escort?
