for designer jewelries even Chanel, you will surely loose value when resell. Thanks for your input. I never really thought of it that way. I always thought the regular gold Cartier would be better because it's more attainable than the ones with diamonds hence being easier to resell.
But what good would a bag she isns't using do her? Bags are not investments. Buy what you love and will wear and enjoy.for designer jewelries even Chanel, you will surely loose value when resell.
for premium designer handbags, their resell value are equal or more when time passed by.
I do not buy brand name jewelries. I love diamonds, and buy for quality not name. Rolex are only designer I purchase for watches.
gold will enhanced resell value more than Chanel purses, especially inflation occurs, if you buy it right, which does certainly not brand name stuffs.
people may say don't care about reselling.....you never know what will and do happen later in life. Therefore, I do most of time very realistic on purchasing things.
I'm a firm believer in cost per wear. I spend more money on my everyday pieces than I do special occaison pieces. I would rather have a gorgeous bracelet on my wrist everyday, than a chanel bag that I use for at most 48 hours a year!I adore my Chanel flap (mine is the 2.55) but I only use it once in awhile. I wear my love bracelet everyday! Cost per wear - bracelet wins everytime!
I used to put a lot of money into bags but I stopped a few years ago, now I spend more on jewellery than bags. It just makes for sense for me, but everyone is different! I do think you should get the love bracelet instead of keeping the M/L. the chanel might be pretty but if its sitting in your closet not being appreciated maybe it could go to another home that may get more use out of it?Thanks for your comment.
You're right about getting another brand or style of evening bag. It's true, I haven't used it much at all...feeling like I'm not getting the biggest bang for my buck with it. I think I learned my lesson in a way, with evening bags, I am not going to overpay anymore.
The M/L is a great classic bag, but it doesn't really fit much for daily life at all....Le sigh! But it's sooo beautiful though!
I do not say buy designers bags for investment, but at least I see I have been owned and still can resell to get what wanted. But what good would a bag she isns't using do her? Bags are not investments. Buy what you love and will wear and enjoy.
I think there are bias advice because you are in this forum. Had you gone to the Chanel forum they might go for the bag.
Me personally, id keep the bag and save for the bracelet. Chanel and Cartier will only go up and if one day you regret selling the bag, you will end up paying more to replace it. The increase is only going to be about $500 so I'd eat the increase later and have both.
Ultimately get what you feel like you will love more. Luxury bags and jewelry is rarely about being practical! So I don't think too much about how often I will get to wear it. I have shoes I bought that I would never wear out but it makes me happy to open that box and see them, so they are worth it to me!
