Should i let my Chanel go for a Balenciaga?

I would not sell it. I think you will regret it. Pretty soon that Chanel bag will be only available to the very rich. The company is making less of them and when the stores get them there's always a waitless. Give it som very serious thought and let us know what you decide.

I would hold on to your Chanel and save up for the Balenciaga. Prices have gone up so much since you purchased your Chanel, and if you wind up regretting it, it may be difficult to get again.

Keep your your Chanel and save up for Balenciaga.

I wouldn't sell the Chanel Jumbo. I would just keep it until later when the kids are older the start using it again. With Chanel increasing price at least once a year, you will need to pay a lot more in the future if you want it back.

I would just save up to fund the Balenciaga...It's just not as special as Chanel to me.

I agree, Chanel keeps increasing their price, I think you should keep it. The Chanel jumbo is a classic. I agree it's a wad of cash but earns interest as the price goes up. I think its doing better than the stock market.

I too wouldnt sell my Chanel to fund another bag. The price increases are just ludicruous!

To me, the only reason for letting go of a classic Chanel would be if you wanna hand it down to your own girl or a favorite niece!

I have tried to convince myself to move on from chanel and buy Bbags instead, I did buy 2 bbags, but for some reason they don't fill the spot of chanel (IMO)... I would keep your chanel and try and save for Balenciaga in the future

I did exactly the same! It was my first chanel(single flap) and i sold it to fund for my reissue...I regretted big time but I finally got myself another Jumbo to 'fill the void' but I will still wan my black jumbo back one day!

Hi OP,
I really agree with most of the ladies here that you should keep ur flap. Cos ur kids will evntually grow up and you no longer need to lug their stuffs around. That will be a good time to enjoy ur flap and since its' such a classic design, I believe you will love it more than the Bal as 'we' grow older.
By then you will have to fork out much much more to get a flap even if its a pre-loved.

I suggest not to sell your Chanel. You might regret it big time! Not worth the risk of huge regret, in my opinion.
