I finally have the bag in hand. I am in Canada. I missed fedex yesterday so I stayed home to collect it today. The bag is lovely no imperfections/concern noted as of yet.

I too had the improper paperwork issues with my package and I emailed MG they said they were aware of the issue and working to resolve it. My order was supposed to be delivered Monday (a holiday) but ended up with the 1st attempted delivery on Wednesday.

I ask 'cute fedex guy' (more like nice older gent) about additional charges and he said he is not aware of any. Also, the paperwork/'bill' had no price/no value on it.

So I'm still not sure about customs taxes etc.

Sorry about the long post.

My lady bag has finally been delivered from Shopbazaar to Vpost in Portland yesterday! Has anyone used Vpost before? How long does it take before I get notification from Vpost that my parcel has arrived?

I don't mean to be a wet blanket but I have not had positive experiences with vPost's service overall, from the communication to the actual delivery. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

Aww... I read many bad reviews too, hence am getting a little worried. I used vPost as I already have a login that was created eons ago but I've never used them, and I was in a hurry to grab the lady bag before it gets sold out. Fingers crossed that nothing happens to my package...

I've been using vpost regularly and have had no problems so far. I also have a mini bucket (bought from shopbazaar too!) that just arrived at vpost Portland yesterday. I got my notification this morning. Based on past experiences (the latest one being just last week for my mini mini from the MG relaunch), I paid for the shipping last Friday, and received my bag yesterday evening. Usually when I pay on Friday, the parcels will reach me on Tuesday. Think the delay this week was because of the long weekend. Hope this helps! Good luck! :)

Thanks!! That really helps to put me at ease. It's been less than a day since the parcel reached vPost, hopefully I will get my notification tomorrow. Wow, your mini mini shipping from vPost is so fast! Did you pay extra for vCare / get billed for taxes?

Yes, I'm actually quite impressed with the speed of their deliveries! For vpost, we actually get to declare the value of the parcels when they reach the warehouse ourselves, any gst will be billed automatically together with the shipping charges if it exceeds SGD400. I don't have the habit of purchasing vCare as I pay for the fees using the S.Chartered Singpost card (free vCare!) but I just realised their payout for that is only up to SGD250. I don't think I'll be paying additional for vCare though, but that's just me! If you think it's necessary, go for it!

I opted for auto-declare. I guess there is no point in topping up for vCare if the payout is so low. My main worry is that the bag will be crushed or dented since it may not come in a box. Thanks for your input! Really helps put my mind at ease for my first vPost experience.

In other news...just received the Fedex bill for tax payment from my mini bucket purchased during 28 July restock. Bag was US$495, bill is SG$47 tax + SG$10 Fedex fee.

Same here. I appreciate that Fedex charges only $10. DHL charges $20.
ahh, bummer that we would have to pay tax, I didn't have to pay during the last May restock.

ps haven't received my bill but its probably likely that I would have to pay as I would imagine they would apply a similar treatment across all purchases from SG. did the bill come via post?

Yes it came in the mail and I sent FedEx a cheque for the tax + fee total.

I received the vPost notification for my lady bag. Actual weight of parcel is 1.5kg, but volumetric weight is 5.7kg! Shipping will be SG$65.27 (which is much cheaper than MG's shipping of US$75), and taxes are SG$119.70.

If all goes well with my vPost delivery, I will choose vPost over MG direct in future, to save on shipping fees and the $10 Fedex fee. Only disadvantage is the time it takes, MG's direct shipping is super fast!
