With the upcoming restock of Mansur Gavriel's site, it has made my heart pound while waiting for July 28.

In particular, I'm from Toronto and the only stockist sucks.

Can anyone share some intel - if you have ordered from MG website and shipped to Toronto especially:

Brokerage fees? Customs? Taxes? Duties? And etc.....

Any intel would be greatly appreciated! :smile1:

Ssense.com has a bunch of veg tan bags now! They're based in Montreal and ships free after a certain amount.

Hi - i just looked at there isn't anything on the website.

Thanks :)

I got a bag last year from a shop called Les Etoffes based on a tPFer's recommendation. It was not an online sale, I called.
5253 Boul St-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2T 1S4, Canada
Phone:+1 514-544-5500

You may want to check them out.

Good luck! :flowers:

I am hoping that someone with experience ordering from Canada can comment on the end price when ordering an original bucket from the MG website. What were the addition shipping costs, broker fees etc?

There are still some backpacks, totes, crossbodies, and wallets, but the buckets and lady bags are gone unfortunately. You can search by designer or click this link https://www.ssense.com/en-us/women/designers/mansur-gavriel

I heard Holts will get a limited selection but not sure if it's the Bloor or Yorkdale store. Best to check with an SA and put yourself on the wait list. I have a feeling the bags will get snapped up before they reach the floor.

It's 30$ shipping by fedex to get to Canada.

take a look at shipping.

I can't comment on any additional fees because I live in the US. But I have a lady bag coming from ssence (in Canada) and I'll see if I'm assessed any additional taxes...

my DH took the day off to help me get the bag during relaunch...

Is there anyone in SG that has ordered directly from MG's website, but used a freight forwarder (eg comgateway or Vpost)..? wanted to check whether its cheaper to do so. please also let me know if you were taxed when you purchased the bag directly from MG!

Thanks!

I'm in Hong Kong. The cost through a freight forwarder usually depends on the weight of your package, cost per pound decreases the heavier the package - so it may be $40 to ship one bag but $60 to ship two bags for example.

And MG only charges tax for purchases within New York I think. In the U.S., tax is levied depending on whether the retailer has any operations in the state of purchase.

At today's MG.com relaunch I checked out with two bags. One to ship directly to Singapore, one to ship via comgateway. I'll update on the cost, speed, tax and other comparisons as they ship

oh I see! So if they have no direct operations overseas, they will usually not charge for tax? I understand that they declare the value as $0, but I don't know if I got lucky that time or its MG's consistent practice.
