Nahreen - I would highly recommend staying at the Peninsula (aka "my home away from home"). An extra goodie is that you will have amazing H wildlife sightings while staying there!!

Thank you for your advice. I had thought about LUX which is really close to H. Unfortunatelly the Peninsula is not a hotel which I think is okej to choose pricewise since work might be paying. I need a day to recover from traveling and jet lag and thought I could spend it in BH and travel down to Anaheim later.

My daughter and I will be making a similar trip in a couple of weeks, so this is very helpful intel! And do you or Quelle Fromage have a recommendation for that "great place for lunch" near the BH store?

I don't have a personal recommendation as on my last trip I took DS and all of the food choices were geared towards a young boy (ie eating at Disney and Universal LOL). However, the Peninsula sent me their top recommendations and I can give you their choices in BH if that would help you.

Would only second what the other posters have said about Roy and BH. I have always had good service and always had good luck getting coveted items. Was there today and added to my CDC collection thanks to Roy. He is a lovely man.

Thanks -- you're an angel! I'll PM you.

I like Porta Via and Il Fornaio (even though the latter is a chain). If you make it to Barneys, their restaurant has a pretty terrace with views.

I am going on a business trip to Anaheim in October. I need to plan my trip now. I like shopping and plan on doing some on my trip. I wondered if it is worth staying two extra nights in BH or if SCP is just as nice and have good inventory? I'm not interested in bags, just scarves, perfumes, soaps and such. Maby also bracelets. Apart from H I also want to shop Ralph Lauren. I also want to browse Dior. I don't want to spend money on hotel in BH unless the shopping there is better.

I was at the SCP store a couple of weeks ago. Totally ignored. Had to raise my voice to be attended to, SAs never said hello, never asked if I needed any help, walked right past me, it was pretty awful!
Contrast with Ralph Lauren: had 3 SAs attempt to help as soon as I walked in and had this lovely lady who was beyond helpful even though I only wanted a polo shirt. It was a pleasure to shop there and I will do so again.:D The H boutique at SCP, not so much.

Hmmm, how long will you be in Anaheim and how busy will you be? If you're just looking for small items (fragrances, scarves, etc) I'm sure you'll be fine at SCP. I received amazing service there, but obviously others haven't. SCP has all the high end stores in a compact space, it's probably the best "mall" I've been to. Of course, BH is gorgeous after the remodel and huge since it's a flagship and I've had great service there as well. Shopping on Rodeo is a nice touristy outing and it's definitely attainable from Anaheim as a day trip depending on the time of day. I used to go from BH to Anaheim just to spend a few quick hours at Disneyland all the time!

I know you don't want to stay at the Peninsula, but they did have complimentary car service to Hermes (and the other local Rodeo stores) the last time I stayed there.

Thanks for your advice. I have also had good service from RL wherever I have been. That's why I have continued to purchase from them. They finally opened an online store and I bought a lot of clothes last week since the sale was still on.

It will be 4 days conference. I don't think I can go to BH during the conference days but I anyway need to make sure to arrive in time to get the hours of the day straight before it starts so I can spend a night or two in BH before going to Anaheim. To complicate things my boss gave me the option to go to a conference in London instead. I am still contemplating which I prefer.

Hmmm, take London! Are you in the US? Hermes shopping will be cheaper for you.

I'm in Sweden and London is close. Actually at the moment UK is more expensive than US but US dollar have changed the past weeks and if it keeps going up it might be just as expensive as UK. We have our own currency (not Euro) and H com will be cheaper than both UK and US but I long to browse in a large store. It is not as fun to buy online as in a store and the store in Sweden is small.

Oh, I'd say, everything being equal, come over to the U.S. You can do a lot of other non-H shopping, and visit our large department stores, which may be running sales/promotions.
