Hi, has anyone used this product on suede? I'm thinking about getting one for my yellow Onatah GM. Is it safe for suede? Thanks!

it wont bother the canvas at all. I didnt worry about it on my mc bag. I just wiped off the brass when i was done.

For the mono bags, are you supposed to spray the canvas part too, or just the vachetta? Thanks!

It's safe on suede. It says so on the site too. I've used it on all my suede bags.

Did you spray the bag heavily or lightly? I sprayed my bag with a light mist about 3 times over the course of week. I am still afraid to get the bag wet!!

I sprayed mroe heavily than others here and it dried quick. I coated at least 2 layers on my more expensive bags.

It won't damage the vachetta IMO.

Can I use Shining Monkey on white MC, should I cover the hardware??

I had a problem with the hardware part with Scotchguard but not with Shining Monkey. Spray away!

No need to spray more than one coat. I only do that cause I'm anal and want 100% coverage.

What about the bag interior, can I spray it too or am I going crazy? I have a young toddler and carry lots of stuff all the time.

Not sure about that, I'm sure it wouldnt hurt since it is fabric but i'd WAIT for other board member that have tried this and see what they say.. Maybe send a pm to MmTammy or Carol Cannie( i tink that is her id)

Otherwise i 'd just carry a large zip lock freezer bag in your purse and put the baby stuff in that.

Ditto, I didn't spray the inside. I'm pretty sure it'd be okay still as it is a product made to protect fabric and the lining is fabric. LOL. But yes, maybe wait for someone else to chime in.

I did spray the Shining Monkey on the interior of my bags, even on all of my wallets.:shame: It dried so quickly, I didn’t feel any residue after a few minutes, and there was no smell at all.

Thanks kathyrose! May I ask what are the colors of your suede bags that you have used shinning monkey on? Are they light or dark colors? My Onatah is yellow and I'm wondering if shinning monkey would cause any discoloration.:unsure:

One coat should be enough You might want to re-spray it every few months though.
