Sheltering in Place with LV...

Hi....I was roaming around tpf and stumbled on this thread. Although I no longer have any LV, it was the first designer bag I collected. It was 1975 and there was only the traditional LV pattern available. However, I still buy LV as gifts for a friend’s college age daughter and a girlfriend of mine who’s very fond of the brand.

To qualify for posting here, I copied @tlamdang08 face mask idea. Only mine Is just printed computer paper folded and taped onto my largest Buddha.

Hi guys! Sheltering in place in the California bay area and it's only getting worse. My main LV bag is actually being repaired and since apparently they are shut down as well there is no telling when I'm getting it back....

Haven't been on purse forum for ages though I used to drop by more often.

I decided to treat myself with a preloved bag. Normady in damier with magnolia leather. I've actually never seen it IRL I don't think but love the pics online.

It's been so long....can someone give me a quickie reminder lesson how to clean and take care of this baby? A little concerned with the pale magnolia leather and the interior is magnolia as well.

It's funny I'm wondering how magnolia differs from rose ballerine. I have the Josephine wallet I believe it is in damier and rose ballerine....

Thanks guys! Love ya and stay safe and healthy.

Welcome back during these difficult times - tpf has been a really nice shelter in place break from work and all the news. Your new bag sounds lovely and we’d love to see it - I’m no help on how to care for her, but just wanted to say hello :flowers:

I'm in the East Bay, so sending you a wave!

I just purchased a preloved bag, too (Monogram Mini Lin Josephine GM) and it was so exciting to receive. So, please send us pics. (P.S. I have a Josephine wallet, too. In Epi leather).

As for cleaning, I have a few DE items and I have used unscented baby wipes to clean, especially the red interior of my cosmetic bag.

Hi! I'm in Pleasanton.
There is something amazing about getting a new bag, but I think there is something even more amazing about getting a good preloved bag lol!

I have 3 little boys, my bags get beat up and gross and you wouldn't imagine, so for me it just doesn't make sense to buy new when I can get a practically new one for like some times 75% off.
I remember I was in love with the the fendi bubble chef....fall winter of 2007 lol. I was smitten. I think it retailed for $2k or maybe a little more at the time. I looked and looked online ended up getting a brand new looking one for $500! I still love that bag lol....

Welcome - you are quite the bargain hunter! And with three little boys don’t blame you:P we are having fun here posting and chatting during this crazy time.

Welcome diane278! Fun to see you here too. And you can post anytime. Love the LV paper!!! And your Buddha
I found a LV shopping bag in a closet....from a trip to purchase a LV gift for a friend and now, my ticket onto this thread.
There’s a local designer consignment store that carries a lot of vintage LV and I think I’ll check it out when it reopens. I’m not gonna lie, I’m missing my LV luggage (or this sheltering thing is getting to me) ......or both.
