Not sure where to share but my VCA SM in Asia has updated that mini earrings with the fixed posts (non-screw) can now be altered to be thinner and/ or longer at no extra charge. This is very good news for me as I cannot wear the standard thicker, shorter posts on all their earrings.
Oh wow thanks for sharing! May I know where in Asia you are? I asked my SA about it in January this year and it cost SGD 260 so I decided not to do it yet and just don't wear them on consecutive days (I have many earrings anyway) - but it means I can't bring these earrings travelling. If it's free now I am probably going to do it!

Close by, but not SG. I wonder why it's not complimentary on purchase in SG. My SA was referring to brand new purchases. Perhaps outsourced and country specific?

Hmmm did your SA say if this was a recent policy change? My earrings were within 3 months old when I asked about it, although I bought them in Paris and was trying to do the servicing back home.

No idea. Just that I told her recently why I couldn't wear the minis and she also recently arranged to change the posts for my Plum Blossom earrings but I paid a little for that as I purchased those at first launch more than a year ago and in a totally different country. I was fine with it as now they are absolutely comfortable.

I have just done had my sweet posts converted to the longer, thinner posts as well (I am in North America). They are so much more comfortable now. I am so pleased to hear that that this option has been helpful for you as well.
I have just gotten my mini frivole earrings back as well and they are so much more comfortable now. I think I will give some vintage Alhambra earrings a try since they are more easily adjustable

LMAO when I read this now at 5 pm instead of in the middle of the night when I wrote it. Sorry for the hillbilly grammar!

Isn't it wonderful! I just purchased 3 more pairs of sweets now that I know that the post change makes such a difference in comfort. They are great daily earrings for me!

Outwardly they look exactly the same when they came back. It is so noticeable when I wear them all day that my piercings are not sore anymore and I can make them a daily earring. I wanted to get some matching Alhambra studs for a while but hesitated because I did not want a bunch of earrings that would sit in a box unworn.

Hi, I need some advice please!

I have a modest collection of VCA, mostly vintage Alhambra size of which I have onyx, yg mop pendant and bracelet sets, the rg grey mop pendant and the yg guilloche pendant (no matching bracelets yet!). I wear either set every day depending on clothing colour. I also have the carnelian sweet bracelet and necklace which I wear all the time so they are essentially layering items which go with all my collection. I got a bonus at work and thought that as it was unexpected money I would complete my carnelian sweet set with the ear studs which I think are so cute. However, my husband, who is normally very on board, has expressed his total disgust and said that a) they are tacky, b) they will look too matchy-matchy, c) they are a waste of money as I have long hair and they won’t be seen much and d) that I should put the money towards a higher value item (tiger eye bracelet). I am well aware that it’s my money and I can do what I like with it and he’s bought all my other pieces but I feel like he’s taken the shine off my potential purchase and now I’m really doubting my choice. So! Do you think he is right and they will look too much or that he is wrong and I should just get them? Help! Thanks in advance ☺️

I’m a fan of sets so the sweet carnelian earrings will be lovely to match with your bracelet and necklace. However, I can see your point about the sweet Alhambra earrings being hidden under your long hair. Are u looking for earrings or bracelets? A vintage hammered gold earrings might be more substantial and go with the rest of your set. Tiger eye bracelet yg is also beautiful and my SA says that tiger eye is getting rare.

Thank you so much for your reply. I too am a fan of a set and that’s why I thought the carnelian studs would be a lovely addition. I also like them because I have tiny earlobes and the vintage size would just simply be way too big for me. Also I think the sweets are perfect for casual daywear whereas I feel the vintage size to be slightly more formal on me. I don’t really mind that they will be a bit hidden, I think a glimpse is really cute. I am still really very much drawn to the studs, it was his comment that there was too much matching going on that really annoyed me! I don’t think there would be too much matching, just a considered collection! I think I will probably buy them and then get the tiger eye bracelet next year all being well.

Depends on how much you like the sweet size. I personally love sweet size ear studs and I wear mine more than any other pair of earrings. I also am a stud person. I find the sweet size very wearable. And I am also a person that loves hidden jewelry and I enjoy knowing I have them on. Most of the time I don’t care whether people see it and many times would rather they not. And I think the carnelian sweets are so cute. I would wear them all the time.
