Hi! The official answer is no, but I think it is really a "it depends."

VCA officially will not resize a BTF ring, but what they can do is add sizing beads. I've had sizing beads before on a Tiffany ring, and I cannot stand sizing beads. I find them uncomfortable, and equally as important, I find them super ugly. It permanently destroys the beauty and aesthetic of a beautful piece of jewelry. That's just me ofcourse.

Hence, I had the beads removed and decided to resize the Tiffany ring.
Long story short on resizing, I needed a size 6 1/4 in that particular ring as it was very top heavy. I like to keep things pure, therfore, I don't like off-sizes which is why I wanted to keep my Tiffany ring at a standard ring size of 6 1/2. That's why I initially did not want it resized down a quarter-size. However, when I saw how the beads felt and looked after they added them, I had Tiffany remove the beads and resize it to a 6 1/4.

On VCA BTF rings, VCA will add sizing beads, but my guess is if you are super VVVVIP, they will resize for you. Why this assumption?
I told my SA no ugly sizing beads, and my SA went to bat for me to get it resized. It was approved by VCA North America (I live on the US East Coast), but it got shot down by VCA CHQ. I am a regular client, but not a VVVVIP. The fact that they even went to bat for me vs. an initial flat out "no" response implies to me it's possible. It's just not possible for me.

After waiting months for a response from VCA, I was so bummed the final answer was no.
Then... I thought about buying a new BTF ring in a smaller size.
Then... I thought what if my fingers go back to their bigger size. I will always be chasing this problem.
Then... I smacked myself on the head and said to myself "quit being a whiner expecting perfection and deal with it".:heart:
So... I went bonkers and bought tons of ring sizers and decided on the ring sizer I posted earlier. Shocking, but I actually love these ring sizers. They are working out great and can easily be removed.

One last thought (sorry for the long post, I will zip it after this...)
As FYI, if you are considering the Lotus ring, while it is marketed as a BTF ring, it's not truly an open ring. The Lotus ring is a closed ring. My Lotus ring is very loose on me, also by choice as I like my rings to fit loose. However, due to the complicated design of the Lotus ring, it's nearly impossible for that ring to fall off. Just FYI in case you are considering the Lotus ring.

Okay... zipping it...
I do hope you try on BTF rings. I love rings; it is my priority category when it comes to jewelry pieces. Rings add such a glamorous statement to any outfit. Good luck!
So much helpful info here! Would you mind re posting the sizer you found to be the best option? I think I missed it.

Glad it was helpful. This is the ring sizer style I decided on. I like it because it's soft and flexible. The other ones I tried were too stiff and bulky for me, but it's all preference of course.

I use the Small and looped it 6 times (e.g. the more loops, the tighter it gets). You may want to play with it.
Be sure to watch the videos in the amazon link.. it shows how to wrap it. It's quite easy though.

Oh... another tip...
I went nuts getting the number of "loops" perfect, so I tried 4, 5, and 6 loops for both the size Small and Medium. I tested each to see which was more comfy. For the ones you decide you don't like... keep them!

I threw away the "4 loops", but I saved the others. Don't toss them as they are reusable and you can keep trying them and splitting hairs if you like.

Here are some photos to show you what I mean by saving those "loops". Look inside the four little baggies... you will see them. I called them "hoops" on my baggies.
I also posted a photo of my butterfly ring with the "6-hoops". It's small and discreet, but best of all, the silicon is very soft. Last photo is just a cheat sheet so I can remember which ring sizer is what mm and what size shanks they fit.

There are many other style ring sizers on amazon, but I just like this one. Good luck shopping for ring sizers!

Hi! Of the two, I prefer the YG. RG looks coppery to me and not as rich and luxurious as YG. This may be your thought as well by regreting the purchase. I assume you have worn it and cannot exchange it for the YG version.

If that is the case, then plan B...
For me, when I make a mistake and don't love something (and sadly, I have made big mistakes but that's life), I hate looking at it when I wear it as I am constantly reminded of my mistake and wishing I had not purchased it. This is in addition to not loving it, and who needs that type of mental torture. Jewelry is supposed to bring an ear-to-ear grin on your face.

If it were me, I would sell it, cut my losses, and buy the YG version.

RG is still popular now, so I am sure you can sell it at just a slight loss. In the scope of life, losing a few thousand dollars is nothing compared to years of happiness. You will soon forget the financial loss, but you will love your YG Clover everytime you wear it.

Just my two cents, and I hope that helps in your decision.
I agree with @BigAkoya, if selling is an option, I'd definitely consider it. I think YG complements your skin tone better, I'm such a big fan of VCA YG tone, it's very unique. @lisang80

100%. I love these sizers too! My ring sizes have started to decrease, and sometimes it's just too much of a faff to get them resized, so these help immensely.

I use these ones too. They are very soft on hands. I don’t have labelled baggies though - that is extra ;)

Two butterfly white gold pave 💕
I didn’t like it at all when I saw them first many years ago. Thought they are childish. Then it grew on me over time. I tried the earrings and BTF rings. WOW, they look elegant IRL when they are worn with dark color clothing- specially Black. I bought earrings because I love earrings. Next time if I ever need the matching rings, I want to add matching all-white pave ring or yellow-sapphire/white or Frivole white pave ring.
