I think the C18 is a very practical bag. It might be perfect for you but perhaps in another leather. I am happy to use my Box Constance and other bags without much worries, but that doesn’t work for everyone.

My issue is that I don’t know if I can be carefree ! I guess it would be an expensive test run lol
I am not super picky with my things , I understand that things get used but I maintain my things and after that wish that they stay looking good.
It’s a balance for me , I just don’t know if box meets that for me .
Ex: I have a Chanel caviar that is 2 years old not much worn but it has 2 scuff marks and it bothers me because caviar should be long wearing

I would pass If I were you. Wait for a leather you are more comfortable with. C18s aren’t crazy rare right now like they were a couple of years ago so you probably wouldn’t have to wait too long. Box also seems to be in heavy production right now so I definitely wouldn’t buy based on rarity. Also, I believe box leather is more expensive than the other leathers so you’d also be paying more for something you like less.

I think I am leaning towards that...
they are rare in my store ( thought we don’t get much here tbh)
I did not ask the price , but I could imagine.
i think I like and wear my bags because they are not so delicate ... I don’t need to have to plan my bag around the weather so much and the chance of my dog - kids scratching it

If you are bothered by scratches (like you said for your Chanel) boxcalf definitely is just not for you, no matter how much others (including me) love it. I think pass is the right choice here!

I think deep down I know this, but at the rate I get offered bags( 1 store in my whole province, Canada is not a good place to love for lux)...it stings to turn it down. I also don’t feel like having bag regret.

Do you keep your constance worry-free by using it with an envirosax like your other bags? I know you have recommended them in the past.
