I want to make this thread a place to share stories of how you were offered your exotic skins. Like, how long has been your relationship with your SA, items you’ve bought, how it happened, which store you got offered etc.. pictures appreciated of course!

To be honest I’ve never been attracted to exotics so haven’t owned one. But, I’m slowly considering it on a Kelly sellier. I have yet to convince myself if I can pull off an exotic. My SA has made a few attempts on tempting me with exotics, but hasn’t succeeded yet as I’ve always passed on them. I’ve been with her since 2013 and I feel bad sometimes for turning offers down. But, I think she appreciates the fact I buy only what I like. The most recent was this tricolor Constance in nilo croc. She said she might convince my outlook on exotics once she showed me this but I politely declined.

I’d love to hear your stories, TPFers!

This Constance would not be the one for me either. I didn’t think I wanted or liked exotics and now have 3. What they all have in common is a very matte appearance so they tend to be a little understated and can easily dress up or down well except the rose shocking C24. Ironically I was offered the first as a walk-in Madison c18 matte alligator blue marine... which I declined ( I even discussed it with my SM from home store)long story but the same big appeared at my home store and I grabbed it from my SA. September came the C24 and Friday the Bleu indigo B25 ostrich which is amazing. I hope to add a B30 matte alligator noir next yearexotics are a slippery slope. But maybe they are just not your “bag”
