My SA is offering me Kelly 25 Anemone Sellier Chamkila goat skin. I'm not familiar with this leather. Any hermes lover can give me any insights on the leather.
Similar to Mysore, its a newish variety of goatskin. Likely more expensive than mysore as well. First time hearing of it in a bag.

Find out more about Chamkila goatskin
In the tradition of our goatskins, all of which come from India, this is a leather of superlative elegance, with a small, very smooth and ultra-shiny grain. Chamkila, meaning "shiny" in Hindi, gives it its name.
First appeared in the collections: 2018
Appearance: Small and irregular but harmonious grain
Feel: Small grain almost imperceptible to the touch
Hand: Firm and yielding
Change over time: High propensity to develop a patina

Wow, thank you so much acrowcounted for the detailed description. The leather sounds amazing. I will go to the boutique Thursday to see it.

First time hearing about it in a Kelly too! But I've come across posts of it for verrou (mini) and mosaique (small model too I think). Sounds delicious, would love to see your photos if you end up taking it :D :D

Sounds divine !

Here is a post showing anemone in chamkila and mysore next to each other. Chamkila seems like it has more of a sheen

Oh I was going to say the opposite. To my eye, the Mysore skin seems to reflect the light better and shine more
Chamkila looks a bit more subtle. Either way, both are beautiful!
