I tried this again for choker length on the 10 and I do not think it looks any better than the other way around. I have loved the look of layering the tennis necklace with pendants to make the necklace more casual. I was also a little worried about having the diamonds scratch up the chalcedony. I don’t know why this doesn’t look good. I love the look of layering the bracelets

In theory it should look good right!? Super good point about the diamonds scratching the stones though

Exactly! My 5 motif looks great w my tennis bracelet (5 motif is WG guilloche but small scratches don’t bother me) but the tennis necklace and 10 motif is a no go! Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see a pic to change our minds. I’m kind of surprised seeing the combo and not immediately loving it

Maybe because on the wrist they're "equal"? Like since they're next to each other one isn't completely surrounding the other..but on the neck they're competing

love those two motif earrings, I can imagine them hanging beautifully on you. I also like the idea of the full set of Guilloche 10 motif, paring with your pave alternate bracelet and earrings all in RG. Looking forward to seeing them on your action shot.
Thank you @rosebean :hugs:Bummer that VCA didn’t release the guilloche and carnelian two-motif earrings this time! I had loved them when they first got released but there were so many other priority WL items at the time that I did not get them. But, at least I got the 5-motif this time around and got lucky with lipstick red carnelian motifs! Now, I really need that 10-motif guilloche in RG to make 10 + 5 either with the guilloche/pave or guilloche/carnelian brackets:heart:

I have the YG MOP 5 motif bracelet and RG MOP 2 motif earrings and wore them together for my city hall wedding ceremony.

I’m planning to have a bigger wedding next year and my gown has a sweetheart neckline so I definitely need something on my neck to make it not so empty. I’ve been thinking about getting the matching YG MOP 10-motif to go with the other two. But not sure if matchy-matchy is the way to go or would I be fine with something different, like green or red or tiger eye? I love malachite and tiger eye but feel like they might be out of place for a wedding gown(blue agate might work as something blue? Lol). If I get the MOP now I might end up getting those down the road so more $$$.

I’m also not sure if 10 or 20 motif is better, feels like 20 motif might take too much away from the dress?

Totally not sure if this is the right thread to ask but love seeing all the pics here!
Congrats @yuukei

did someone respond to you? I have a feeling @BigAkoya , @911snowball , @TankerToad , @missie1 , or @nicole0612 , and others might have an opinion as to what would be nice and classic with your sweetheart neckline. . .

personally, I would go for something like a strand of south sea pearls for a wedding pic, bc I wear alhambra very casually*, but then again, it took about two plus decades after I got married for me to grow comfy wearing pearls

*six motif magic GMOP with shorts or travel joggers kind of casual lol

@yuukei congratulations!
I agree with @880; I would wear a strand of pearls or a diamond necklace or pendant for your ceremony. Simple and unbranded is best in my opinion for the actual ceremony, especially since you are planning to wear VCA accent pieces in your earrings and bracelet. I may even recommend to only wear the bracelet for the ceremony and simple/unbranded earrings as well. If you want to purchase another VCA item to wear at the event, maybe you can change into it for the reception, where it is common to change into a
more casual/fun/statement dress and jewelry.

Thanks for sharing. I really do not like this look so I will scrap the dream of layering tennis necklace with 10 motif. Still getting a tennis necklace but will wear separate or maybe I need a pendant!
I think once you get tennis necklace depending on size and length it can layer great. I will play around with the 10 and my tennis necklace and see how they work so we can have some visuals of what we don’t like lol.

Congratulations @yuukei….now I personally would go for tennis necklace as it’s so elegant and classic and would look amazing with sweetheart wedding dress. I find Alhambra line overall to be very chic yet very casual which is why we love it so much. It definitely can be dressed up but not wedding dress worthy imo. Now pearls would be lovely as well however that I leave to our ladies who know their pearls and I’m a novice.

I wonder it they will look good overlapping as the same length? I know the scratching concern but It’s the deliberate spacing that’s throwing the entire look off.

I agree with the deliberate spacing being problematic. When I usually layer chains I always do 3+ and it is usually a messy stack with chains and pendants. They are gold or platinum and gemstones so I don’t worry about scratching but the 10 motif is like a brand new car for me and I am afraid of its first scratch. Ha!
