I went to try the Saut bag after @catin's glowing review as well, but my local store only had black and navy available. If there was a red or lime - I probably would have walked out with that bag. Instead, I picked up a Sacabar 24 which is not as casual but really lovely IRL.
Oh I look forward to seeing the Sacabar in person sometime - It looks really pretty! Under the radar-wise, I'm also excited about the Trim bags I've been seeing on the website; I understand it's an older style from the 50's but I really like it as a cross-body from the photos I've seen.

I went in with the intention of trying the Sacabar as there is so little photos or information available online. And I asked my SA to show me the Saut and Trim to compared. The Saut was roomy and easy to get in and out of - definitely an under the radar bag. However, it just didn't look special in the colours I was shown. I've always liked the Trim so was really excited when this style came back, but I knew it wasn't for me as soon as the bag came out of the box. You really have to see the Sacabar and try it on to appreciate the details. Good luck with your selection!

Nice! I've never checked that one out, will add it to my list next time I'm in the shop.

Has anyone tried the mini Halzan as an UTR bag? Or would that not really be UTR?

Halzan and mini Halzan are definitely UTR. However, I believe the mini has been discontinued. Also it's small and if you have an iPhone max it won't fit in the pockets.

The 31 is great though and doesn't look overly large when worn.

Oh good to know, I didn't realize the mini Halzan was discontinued... or so small! I think the 31 would be too big for me.

I can attest to the fact that the Halzan is a *great* UTR bag, and IMHO the 31 is not too big. My iPhone XS Max fits in one of the outer slip pockets, my face mask fits in another, and I love how versatile it is either over the shoulder, crossbody, or in hand.

Can you share why the trim wasn’t for you?

I was initially quite excited that they brought back the Trim, and I thought of Jackie O with the iconic bag. I had expected the bag to be quite structured, but the bag was quite slouchy when the SA pulled it out of the box. In addition, the bag did not have any depth so you can't put much of anything in or it will just stretch out the bag and bulge out. The duo version is slightly deeper but I didn't try it. It was not a practical bag and really didn't look special so I turned it down. Hope this helps!

Good news for all Halzan Mini lovers: just lately new Minis came into boutiques and online stores in Europe. So, it is not discontinued. To the contrary, a new medium size (25) was released in August. So more fun with Halzans. I personally just love the 31 size, but checking out the new smaller size IRL might be worth a visit in your local boutique...

Tbh while I do like quite a few of the Hermes designs, this one leaves me a bit cold, while not bad, I would not spring for the price tag when it is something that looks any halfway decent artisan could do, I am not a fan of flashy labels, but paying premium, you expect something a bit more, I don't get that from those bags, they look very plain and like something we have seen over and over again. I'd pass

Awesome! Which size is the red? is that 18cm? And drool, is that barenia on the left, 25cm?

The left one is Barenia Faubourg (great eye to spot the leather kind) in 31 and the right red one is actually the first 25 my boutique received.
Liked it, but resisted it, as I just loooooove my 31 in BF!
:) I am a barenia obsessor!
25 I think would be too big for me. I think I had the 'mini' size wrong... I thought it was 18 but online I find articles saying the mini is 22... so is the medium really only 3cm bigger?

Just checked on the website (see attached file from Hermès.com in Germany) and you are correct, the Mini is only 3cm smaller than the new Medium. In my personal opinion, the 31 is amazing, as it does not look big and fits a lot. But I love bigger sized bags. However, a friend of mine is Mini-addicted and finds the new Medium just too large... So to each their own:biggrin:
