Wow ,never thought someone had the same bag .How do you create a strap .would love to do it .love your bag

Apologies, I missed your question, so somewhat belatedly:

simply knot two twillies together in a loop (I use a silk loop to avoid marking the edge of the bag),
when the bag is open place the loop under the flap,
Close the flap, meaning you have a “strap” emerging from each side once the flap is closed.

Hello, I wanted to share my latest acquisition - the Balle De Golf. It has a big scar on the back, but it is so light and beautiful that I am 70% convinced to keep it.

I decided to keep it! I think this is a very old style that comes up on the secondhand market from time to time. I found a picture of Princess Caroline (Grace Kelly’s daughter) carrying it.

I just re-looked through this whole thread and it must be one of my absolute favourites! Unfortunately for me the great majority of these bags are small and I just CANNOT do small bags, my smallest bags are the Bolide 31 or Kelly 32!
