I shake my head when I see those prices, as well as those descriptions! sellers must think we're all blind or believe everything. Just like what happened to me yesterday: I saw an ad for a LV Palermo, asked for a pic of the data code, and seller replied to me that her Palermo and her other real Speedy don't have the data code, but are registered as real purchases in the LV store in Montenapoleone, Milan.
yeah, right...

here is another little museum piece:http://www.ebay.com/itm/HERMES-KELL..._Handbags&hash=item3a70d648fd#ht_20981wt_1057 or perhaps the mortuary depending on how one looks at it. I hate the way the photos are taken - I guess they are meant to be artistic - or perhaps hide the damage from the bag. There is no photo at all for the poor kelly's handle. Anyway I wonder if anyone actually buys those poor train wrecks - or do they just languish in seller's greed...

I love to track things and see what they sell for--especially ones that are best offer. I normally track things at the higher end that I think are way over priced, but I will add these to my watch list and report back on their fate.

docride is selling a gorgeous porc kelly that sounds like it was a train wreck before she performed her cinderella magic on it. Would love to see the before pictures and know what she paid for it. Her magic stokes frog to prince fantasies. In my dreams I am looking for a 28 black porc kelly that needs a kiss.

I know some people buy these when the price is right to display them as accent pieces- LV trunks are especially covetted for this purpose. To buy, refurbish and then use as a functional accessory- I have not seen this irl.

As train wrecks go, it is beautiful. Good handle and corners. Better outside than inside. Honest description. No insane starting price.

The dryness of the flap is a little bit scary. I would want to be able to carry a bag and not have it disintegrate before my eyes. Why don't you ask docride what she thinks?

I would also want to know what this owner treated it with. Don't want any dissolving stitches.

Could be fun...

Well, the seller don't tell how much the refurbishment would have cost: consider it. Maybe it will be not convenient for you too...

But docride is surely the person to ask for advice...

I do not think this bag can be refurbished to usable condition - no matter what! It would be a miracle. I could make a prop or a decorative piece at most... still I think its an honest and brave seller...that doesnt come up with pre loved cr**

Oh..yes, I didn't understand your intention.
Good luck, and let us know what you are going to do...:smile1:

Please pardon this if it's not allowed ...She could easily go black:graucho:
