I was just writing about the handle BTW..looks like she could maybe use more TLC as well....I'd just restitch it and call it good. cost to me about $2.15 (2 needles ,Linen Thread and Bee's wax ) plus my time about an hour...lol

Yup you betDoc, is there anything you could do for the corners?
Actually, there is a legend floating around that a woman took her H bag with her on a safari, and an elephant stepped on the bag.
When she arrived back in New York, she brought her bag in, and Claude repaired it until it looked as good as new.
That being said, not everyone knows H. My grandmother was a fashionista, and was given an H Kelly in 1963. My aunt inherited all of her clothing, shoes (close to 150 prs of Manolos) and handbags (including an original issue 2.55 in mint condition, the Kelly, and an H Sac a Malice) and left them in her basement without doing anything to them for 10 years. I recently tried to pry them from her tightly clenched fist - and she told me, "Oh, I donated them to charity years ago"
I could have strangled her.
Oh my goodness
How could she??

I ask myself that all the time. The only conclusion I've come to is that some people just live in isolation.
My mother always tries to tell me I can't recreated my grandmother's collection. I should make my own. But...
Some ask "What would MaiTai Do?" I aways wonder, "What would my grandmother buy?"
