^That classic Kelly almost look like the Kelly Danse w/o the handles.

It'd be good if Hermes re-release this kelly design. It's a kelly shoulder bag (not sure of it's official name) which fits nicely under the shoulder & its size is perfect enough to fit in the necessary essentials for weekends.

OY! That's not a regular kelly though...sort of a forerunner of the kelly SO?

Oh, I feel so sorry for these bags...

These bags should be given away for free to good homes! Or to docride's spa.. But definitely they shouldn't be for sale on ebay.

okay - now I'm in two minds, should I blow nearly $ 130 on this amputee? :thinkin:
Someone talk me in. Or out.

Friponne, did you do it? If you are thinking of having H do anything with it (new handle, etc) better make sure they will touch it with all the color/skin loss...$130 is a STEAL if H will help (and you'll need it! THAT won't be a cheap fix!). Let me know!!

No, didn't do it yet... but thanks for the wise words, MargieB and Brennamom!
Well, after half a bottle o' red I see it more&more like a *statement* piece 'as is' - an evening clutch, to be worn with full haute-couture garb (and get a length of rope from Martin Margiela!) Sure it would be a head-turner? :D

friponne, I think you should do it. It would make an amazing evening clutch as it would add just the right amount of edge to an outfit.

papertiger, yes that is my new CDC and the cause of my recent ban. DH says I can't even entertain $130 H bags.

I love the whole idea of Hermes Vagabond Chic ;o) it is such an oxymoron LOL!
LOL you talking about poor old me? :p I think I was born dragged backwards throu' the hedges! Can't help it. I gave it all up a long time ago & just take it in my stride instead (mind you, one needs a lot of H to pull off the 'victorian street-urchin' look with some dignity;))

As a librarian, I think piaffe's Birkins are like books that have been well loved, have a little story of its own, and still have some wisdom to share. Ya' know kinda like your favorite cookbook that has wine spilled on it or your favorite travel book that's all bent out of shape and has notes written all over it.

Then there are the others. They remind me of books that have been dropped in the tub, chewed by the dog, and sitting in Aunt Millie's dark and dank attic for the past 30 years but somehow will be made new and shiny with a little love. :wtf:

Very well said valencia, bags are just like books!

How did I miss this thread, I love it, thanks Margieb for starting the thread!

It's thrilled to know that Docride has 'adopted' one of them, I am hoping to see the transformation too, we all know Doc can do wonders :smile1:!

YEAY!!:woohoo::yahoo: I KNEW when you didn't post the link that you were hooked!!!

Pleasepleaseplease post pix!!

May I ask, how did you find it? I have alerts for vintage, vintage leather, do I need to set one for H Train Wreck??

Thanks Brennamom and KellyH!:smile1: Sure I'll post pics as soon as it's here - or shall I do a 'reveal'? LOL I felt it was just 'calling my name', how embarrassing is that?! :D
Brennamom - sorry for not posting the link! A good friend of mine (on the other side of the globe) hunted it down for me.

Another wreck, looks pretty decent in comparison (pricier too!):

The wreck is already gone, BTW....
