What happened to you is exactly what I am concerned about. What if they make a mistake they are clearly not perfect. In that case they have kept someones item under false pretenses. In the case where the person does not claim it what happens to it. They've just kept it because they said it was a fake. I am not saying that do this but in that case they could sell the item and make a profit where they have kept something that did not belong to them. It seems very risky on their part especially when they have made mistakes.
And if you pay the $75 and get your item back they'll just throw in a box, sometimes with no bubble wrap or not even in its dust bag, and send it back to you all scratched up. My watch took a beating on its way back. 😔

I’m so nervous that they’ll send my 100% authentic lambskin Chanel back like this. I’ve messaged them twice asking them to please send the bag back already. Im so scared it’ll be scratched and dented. I too think they quoted me too high and didn’t want to deal with it. So shady.

I hope it comes back safely why are you having them send it back if you dont mind my asking.

They said it was “fake” and I had to pay the $75 fee. They received the bag 18th and said it was fake on 25th so I paid the fee that day and now I just want it back. I’m just nervous the longer it sits there the more damage, etc…They're clearly in no rush to return my bag

I believe they have a "fake" bin they keep and use for training purposes

I sent them two items a day apart - and the one that was a buyback is taking them two plus weeks to process. It’s only a few hundred too lol, bc it’s just an older LV piece. But I only used it once, hence sending it back for buyback - so there’s no difference in condition. I wonder if it got lost in the process. I did sent a follow up email today. I know they’ve changed their processing times but it’s odd that the item they received second, and wasn’t from them originally so it should have been a longer review and process, paid out a week ago. Fingers crossed I hear back asap!! It’s not a lot of money but I do want it lol

I would follow up with a phone call as no telling how fast they will reply back to your email or how quickly they will see your email. I have 2 items I'm thinking about selling to them. One is a buy back and another is not. I will be doing mine in person if I decide to go through them. Their quotes though. Uugh. Lol.

This is a bit of a relief to me to read in that my bank transfer may just be delayed. I sent them an email yesterday asking if there is indeed a delay but there is no response yet. It's been a week since the email was sent that my payment has been processed. I just reported them to BBB about giving me store credit instead of ACH which they fixed. I would hate to report them again. It's a shame this is all happening to long time FP buyers/sellers.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I find it better to go in person if you can.

Important changes just went into effect for cosignment. You basically don’t get paid until after 15 days when your item is sold and if the person does not return the item. And currently they are doing a lot of consignment rather than buyouts due to the market conditions.
Yes I got the email re the changes. I was there just yesterday selling some items, nothing major and of course I got paid about half of what they will get. Lol. Do you know if there will be a sale going on soon for mothers day?

Thank you! This is a huge change because in the past the major advantage of selling through them was that they paid out when the item sold, regardless of if it is returned (since I think a lot of people buy to test out and/or check out and then return, and I always worry my item will not be in the same condition if it is returned and then needs to be sold again). TRR has a high viewership as well, but I have only sold handbags with them (as those are final sale) in the past and sold other items through Fashionphile for this very concern about my items being returned and no payout until a buyer “keeps” the item. Ann’s is the same, they are sweet to work with, but payout can take ages because they wait until the buyer has the chance to return it, and then the next payment cycle after that, and at least half of my items that are sold are returned. This is on Fashionphile also, I think any platform that allows returns will have items sell more easily, but people will also return easily. Maybe I need to switch to poshmark and vestiaire since those are final sale.
