Secret Tips for Caring For Your Celine

That's ridiculous that Céline only repairs a bag that is less than 12 months old! But I agree that you should bring the inner pulley tab to the front, at least it would look like the old one.

I hope for the best for you... I know I would be pretty distraught if the front zipper fell off without my knowledge! And I thought the first edition of Luggage are the sturdiest, I better be more careful with mine.

If you have one of those Céline furry fox tails, maybe you can have that as a very fancy zipper tab! Do update us if you are able to find a suitable place to get it fixed. I really think Céline should give you another tab! Bring it up to the main office in Paris as supposedly repairs/bag parts come direct from there.

I have already contacted Celine via their website and I am waiting for a reply.

So it is 2 days later since my initial inquiries. Both Celine stores in the USA, NYC and Miami were not interested in talking about a bag over 12 months old.. However, I have contacted the original boutique ( non Celine) where the bag was originally purchased , and they could have not have been any nicer. They are getting me a new pull from Celine and I will have it next week.. The moral to this story is , I WILL NEVER, EVER WALK INTO a CELINE FREE STANDING BOUTIQUE AGAIN.. Not a whole lot of customer service..after a year just throw your bag away..this is our policy ..we do NOT care

Will Celine replace lost zipper pulls?

I had Celine replace the missing zipper pull from. My trio! They sent it to NY, took 6 weeks and it was back overnighted and with 2 dustbags! I hope they didn't change their policy! I was so impressed!

That's super disheartening to hear about Céline boutique policies. But I am overjoyed that you are able to get it replaced it in the end.

Wait, what??!!? 6 weeks to replace a zipper pull? I just had my Louis Vuitton Noé bag (purchased by my mother in law in the 1980s) completely refurbished with a new bottom, drawstring, and complete lining, and it took only 4 weeks. LV's dedication to repairing any bag, no matter how old (provided the parts are still available) is really the mark of a quality brand.

If Céline wants to position itself to compete with the top luxury brands, it will need to improve its CS especially when it comes to repairing bags. Otherwise their customer base will lose faith and their bags won't be seen as long-term investments.

:crybaby: I used a leather conditioner on my new Box after I saw some initial scratches and some of the color came off! I'm not sure if it is super noticeable to the naked eye, but on close inspection I can definitely see a large patch where the color looks different to me. This kind of freaked me out - I've only had the bag for a couple weeks and I've never had any issues with this leather conditioner on any of my other purses. Is there anything that I can do? I love how rich and deep the color of my Box was and now I'm worried it isn't as vibrant.

^ Spoke too soon. Taking it into the NYC store to see if they can provide a solution. I wish I could edit my earlier response :shucks: apologies for the multiple posts.

Is there anyone who wouldn't mind giving a synopsis of how they first treated for their phantom? Particularly any light color, especially the Yellow Sun color? Does anyone have specific suggestions on what worked for you before and during use? I'm hoping to get a Samorga insert as soon as they are up and running again. But my thinking is that is I do nothing else beside that, I should waterproof the entire bag inside and out. Soon we'll be having April showers and there's still snow here too (although I don't plan to use it right about now. I'm hoping the end of March. I have read the thread, twice, with so much USEFUL advise its still hard to decide. So I thought I asks those of you who are specifically owners of light colored, more importantly Sun colored, Phantoms. I've included a picture of the double zipper insert I want (not that color' but maybe I should consider a light color to prevent transfer?). And I've also included a reminder of what the Sun looks like. I want the inside to be a pristine as possible. Is spray waterproofing my only preventative measure.

BTW, celine in Miami have four phantoms in stock and don't charge tax if there isn't a store in your area.

Thank you in advance!
is that the sun yellow? thinking about getting one as well.

Just received my trio in tan today, but I've just noticed that the stitching of the pouch on the sides are causing tiny holes on the leather. I am devastated, should I change it? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Anyone with similar problem, is this a small issue?

To all the TPFERS:

I just used "Collonil Nano tech" in all my bags : Phantom Suede; Trapèze calf and Suede etc. and it worked perfectly! I encourage everyone to use it; but do a little test on a small part because we never know..
I even did a small test: put a little bit of water on the Suede part of my Trapeze and you can see the water drops RUNNING on the leather. Yes they run!
Had lot of fun showing it to my entourage :D

Hi all,

Need advice and help.

I got my Celine trapeze stained with pencil eyeliner. The flap is suede material... I tried cleaning it with a wet tissue and ended up the color came off. The stains are still there… Very sad..

What should I do now? L

Thanks.

Hi, I'm sorry about the stain, a promising tip I read here was spraying hairspray on a q-tip and try to lift off the stain with the q-tip. Hope you can remove the stain.
