I believe all 2nd hand shops will offer 40 or 50% even for BN bags. I heard the guy say it when I was at th shop at United Sq. Yes very low price but I sold my bags to him cuz I didn't wanna bother carry the bags home and I don't carry them anymore. Don't wanna waste time post on DM which have to keep monitoring. Once and for all sell it and don't think about it since not using also.

Hi dears,
I'm just gna do a short survey!!

If you're planning to take your bags to sell at the shops, what do you expect from the owners?
What would you love to see at the shops?

I thank you girls for your help!!

Xx

Nice display for premium bags. Bags not chuck together like pasar malam. They shouldn't have contact with each other in case they leave marks. Good ventilation so that there is no musky smell. Display adequately lit instead of dim lighting. Great prices for both buyers and sellers. Friendly shop owner.

Owner wise - Honesty. Gentle in handling bags especially those on consignment. Friendly.

I am considering selling my bags but would seriously consider who to go to very carefully.

I was recently on vacation visiting my parents in Singapore and I decided to go into some of the consignment shops mentioned here, IMHO, I did not find any amazing/great deals unfortunately. :-( some of these places smelled musky and unpleasant. The prices for some items were on the pricey side IMO. I almost left with a vintage clutch but right before I was to purchase it I was told it was sold and on hold. Not a great experience.

Had a very bad experience at http://www.interesthing.com/shop/ and would not recommend anyone to go try to buy or sell your item there.

The shop is kinda dodgy and has a musty smell, possibly from the mouldy good, i saw some with my own eyes, the leather goods were in pretty bad condition, seriously i would doubt the authencity

The male owner, Aaron Chua was dishonest and quoted me a very ridiculous price for my BN prada, claiming that prada is worthless. But I saw that he was selling a canvas prada for way higher than my leather one, his price markup is ridiculous, simply out to cheat.

Please avoid this shop if you want to sell ANY bags. Spread the word.

Yes, I've bad experience with interesting shop just last week. The owner or whoever picks up the phone was rude & quoted ridiculous low price for a brand new Chanel & saying they need to make at least 20% profit. Absolute turn off. Anyway all of these 2nd hand shop owners were rude or arrogant. Would not buy from them

Hi,

anyone have bought from Deborah shop in novena sq? they have an online site also.
They stand by their bags are brand new, imported from europe, authenticty guarantee with cards and dustbags.

Taken from their website" All the bags are directly imported from Italy, brand new and 100% authentic"

I went to their store and looks like the real deal with cards. Eyeing on a prada bag.
I googled them but can't seem to find much info about them except a blog advertorial.

Would like to hear some feedback. :)

TIA

here's a list of the resellers that i have personally visited before.

1. the attic place - far east shopping centre, #04-01 (near orchard mrt)
this is store i go to most often. they probably have the most extensive collection of bags in one place. what i like best about it is that they have a great website which i spend lots of time surfing. :) the best way to shop is to go online to take a look at what they have and then go to the store to check it out. you get overwhelmed by the number of bags in the store but you find great vintage stuff - which i am so into these days - if you look hard.

oh yes, here's the website: http://www.theatticplace.com/

2. madam milan (raffles place mrt basement)
i patronize them because they are located near where i work so it's really convenient. they have new bags pretty often and their store is nicely lit so i like to pop in to look every now and then. however, avoid the lunch hour! the shop is really quite small so there's hardly any room to browse when there are others in the store. i hear from my friends that their prices are usually on the high side as they have the most branches amongst the second hand sellers. i saw their lucky plaza store as well but didn't go in. believe they have a branch at holland village too.

3. interesthing shop (adelphi #02-32, near city hall mrt)
the last time (and only time) i went, the bags were not kept in very good condition - some were stacked on top of one another and the guy in the store was not that helpful either.

4. prestige (united square #01-75A, near novena mrt)
this one is a little out of the way for me because i live in the west so i only been there once. pretty decent selection of bags but i didn't purchase anything there. ok experience overall.

hello lovemiki,

i think deborah sells the real stuff. however, their authenticity card doesn't come with the boutique stamp which can be a problem because last time i bought a prada bag online from reebonz, the gold plating from the logo came off. the singapore prada boutique won't do anything about it because they said the card did not have the boutique stamp. :(

hope that helps!

Oh man, that happened to me too! He quoted me a super low price for my Prada too and said in a condescending manner that only Singaporeans are stupid enough to buy Prada. wth?! downright rude.. :bagslap:

I would personally recommend designer haven at far east shopping ctr level 5. There is no musky smell at all and the bags are well handled by the owner. I have sold my bags there quite a few times.
