As Scarf Mistress, here's what I said in my last post:

"I'm okay with showing your scarf of the day, but I chose this year's themes based on member requests, so I hope they're of wide enough interest to encourage lots of sharing. Feel free to let me know (as you've been doing) if there are additional themes you think would be good for the future. And don't forget SCARF ON SITE for SOTD -- scarves that show places and activities that mirror where you are!"

I haven't (nor would I) discourage someone who shares an off-theme scarf -- people seem to enjoy seeing scarves here. I will be disappointed if the thread splits apart into SOTD and "Themes Only" as I feel like there are already a lot of threads that draw our attention. This one has gone on for a long time and I don't think I've done anything different as Scarf Mistress. Please let me know if I've made a mistake.
I will echo everyone's feelings here abq2atl, you are an awesome scarf mistress and I look forward to reading and contributing to this thread as always!

Thanks, but I specifically said we don't want a new chat style thread. It would be appreciated if the members who post here could decide what they want this thread to be and then stick to that.
Like many other members, I like having themes to coax scarves out the the drawers, boxes, and other containers we store them in (and I was not bothered by the short digression on that topic), but if someone posts what they are actually wearing that day even off-theme, GREAT!

Seriously, can we just enjoy this thread with all its enabling pictures, archival lore, and historical details? I feel we all contribute uniquely.

I'm fairly sure this has been resolved but by all means, if you or any other member would like to continue the discussion with me privately, I am happy to do so via PM.

Thanks.

ABQ2ATL - to me you are a great scarf mistress, I like your intros very much. You have vast knowledge and are well prepared for each theme. I could not do this.

I really like to look at scarf action pictures, no matter if it is on theme or not. But I also like to go back to older SOTD threads and search for a specific theme like nautic or Toutsy for some eye candy. If there are postings I do not fancy I just scroll by. My only problem is that I often do not have time to contribute and write out the compliments I would like to give. But this is what "the wave" is for...

... here is "Les Becanes" paired with a cycling helmet:

Thanks, Honeylocks -- and that Les Becanes is very cute with the bike helmet!

Thanks for this - if that is how you interpet SOTD, this is fine.

As stated, there are many other threads to encompass the many other facets of scarf wearing and collecting.
I think the storage discussion was a rare off-theme extended occurrence that happened only because it is a topic close to our hearts and spontaneously developed because we have to frequently review our silkies to find those which fit the themes. Most times, we return to the theme very quickly and the very friendly folks here even apologise if their SOTD is off-theme. If we notice extended off-theme conversations mushrooming, let's just remind ourselves to return to theme.

Thanks.

Oh yes this is gorgeous. The red, jade, and cobalt are so beautiful and unusual combined together. But for me, the sepia is what melts my butter. [emoji173]️
