This is what I wore today, a real Grail for me.
I've had it in wraps for a year a , but today I broke it out for a visit to a fabulous exhibition on Buddhism at the Wellcome Institute .
I'm in love with my grey teddy bear coat and discovered that the shawl was perfect with it .

I've had it in wraps for a year as I wasn't sure it did much for me , but today I broke it out for a visit to a fabulous exhibition on Buddhism .

Oh that's lovely. Is it all neutral or are there other colors? I just love neutrals and I'm trying to build my csgm collection. It definitely looks lovely on you. Glad you broke it out.

My SOTD is the special edition Le Monde este Vaste - somewhere on this brightly colored map must be Japan?

My feeling is that the thread welcomes people to post what you are wearing for the day, days, or past few days, etc. whether on theme or no. Some people can't post everyday but want to share their silks and outfits. I like seeing the scarves flat and worn, and I try to do that so people get a chance to see scarves in action.

Misti is just letting people know there are other threads to handle off topic discussions like storage and I think there is a topic for knot tying etc. From my recollection, this thread was originated by the lovely Rose back before I was a member (2007)! Let's keep this positive and everyone is very kind and supportive.
This is a beautiful design and I hope to own it one day. Thanks for posting such a lovely cw!

.

I'v e often admired this design , this one sings it is gorgeous ! I had a feeling you may have a mousse in this design too….

faux Asian scarf which I am wearing today. This version does not have the Carolina opera printed on it so I believe it is the original issue.

Perfection in the form of a scarf , I second a modelling request but only if you are comfortable with that.
I didn't think I'd want another Turandot , but now I see this in good light I definitely will be looking out for it !

Really lovely on you, frou frou. Chic and cozy!

As Scarf Mistress, here's what I said in my last post:

"I'm okay with showing your scarf of the day, but I chose this year's themes based on member requests, so I hope they're of wide enough interest to encourage lots of sharing. Feel free to let me know (as you've been doing) if there are additional themes you think would be good for the future. And don't forget SCARF ON SITE for SOTD -- scarves that show places and activities that mirror where you are!"

I haven't (nor would I) discourage someone who shares an off-theme scarf -- people seem to enjoy seeing scarves here. I will be disappointed if the thread splits apart into SOTD and "Themes Only" as I feel like there are already a lot of threads that draw our attention. This one has gone on for a long time and I don't think I've done anything different as Scarf Mistress. Please let me know if I've made a mistake.

ABQ2ATL - to me you are a great scarf mistress, I like your intros very much. You have vast knowledge and are well prepared for each theme. I could not do this.

I really like to look at scarf action pictures, no matter if it is on theme or not. But I also like to go back to older SOTD threads and search for a specific theme like nautic or Toutsy for some eye candy. If there are postings I do not fancy I just scroll by. My only problem is that I often do not have time to contribute and write out the compliments I would like to give. But this is what "the wave" is for...

Veering off theme might be caused by a need: many of us can share their love for H only here, in real life it is hard to find someone to share with. And when storage came up some of us eagerly jumped in.
Remember http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes/rainneday-sets-sail-for-ban-island-908396.html ? This one turned from a reveal to a nice sharing about collecting and bans. And we had a good time with it. "Maybe we need a "collectors anonymous"? Or a silky chat?

Thanks, but I specifically said we don't want a new chat style thread. It would be appreciated if the members who post here could decide what they want this thread to be and then stick to that.

There are some older scarves I consider getting online. But before spending I would like to ask members if they have them and if so if they could post how they look tied. Where may I ask something like this?

I feel the need to pay "theme tax", so here is "Les Becanes" paired with a cycling helmet:

What an action shot! I love it. This is such a beautiful design. I feel the same- a bit sad when I don't have time to compliment all of the beautiful posts that I see here.

Thank you both .
I've always loved grey , when I received the shawl and tried it first thing in the morning ,I thought I looked 101 and in need of an iron tonic!
I don't wear face makeup but I depend on a red lipstick , it makes grey my friend :D

My SOTD: CSGM Ex Libris en Kimonos (on theme!) with cotton cardigan from Gap.
Do you like it better tucked in or hanging out?

I just love this on you, lanit!

Here's my organization system. I'm just shy of the 100 mark- counting twillies and gavroches. [emoji15]

I keep a spreadsheet as others do and I keep mine in these felt lined trays from the container store. I have to be able to see mine. And I spend more time than I'd like to admit admiring them.

This is a bit old. I'm constantly reorganizing. But left side top to bottom: misc colors, neutrals, 140 silks, gavroches and twillies. Right side: Colvert, blue, maxi twillies, 70s. Csgm and moussies stay on their boxes.

Oh and I stack 3 trays per shelf so I have one tray that is empty and reserved for future growth. I keep it empty just to prove that I'm not completely out of control.![emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
