Yesterday I wore Brandenbourg, very floppy old eBay rescue scarf. Tried it two different ways..

Am finding Caty Latham week fascinating, she is such a versatile designer, does not seem to have a distinctive style in the way of Anne Faivre. Some of her designs seem very classic - Les Clefs - while others seem rather modern - Sulfures..

Loving the knot on your cute Brandenbourg, @Pudfish. Thank you for sharing. Eee! This thread is terribly addicting.

I'm not so organized this week. I have to pull out archive photos. I wore my brandebourgs shawl in Paris last week. View attachment 3523607
Welcome home PbP, and you look so cozy and elegant with your Kelly and brandebourg! I hope the Jet lag wasn't too hard on you. I'd love to go to Paris just after Christmas sometime. The idea of the lights appeal, the cold weather does not.:amuse:

Thank you. One advantage of living in New England: I am pretty tolerant of the cold. I ate almost all of my meals outside. The Christmas lights are so beautiful. They were just hanging them last week. I hope to someday see snow in Paris. Not that I love snow but I imagine it's incredibly beautiful.

I can't stop looking at this scarf, it is so beautiful, you are so right, IRL it is stunning yet when I have seen it up for sale I never considered it. Time to reconsider!

Thank you, pudfish! I never considered it much either until I found this in new unworn condition going for a song. I snatched it up and now love wearing it. Here's a better shot of the bees, though it still doesn't do it justice.

Oh my gosh, it's my turn to envy you! This is gorgeous and in such a cheerful cw. I love how you've tied it - it looks very different in each photo.

Hi, today I'm wearing Bolduc au Carré fringed cashmere and silk scarf by Cathy Latham (90cm). This was my very first Hermes scarf that I had picked up at the airport while traveling home from Europe. I was in my early thirties at the time, and my mom being an Hermes lover since I was a little girl and wearing Caleche perfume, Hermes silk scarves, I used to think that Hermes was for more mature women. I bought this one because cashmere in this size made it more appealing and seemed practical for my age. Last winter my 16 year-old daughter wore it and liked it a lot. HOLD YOUR (Hermes) HORSES -- I found three more Latham scarves not in the original list (in addition to Reveries Japonaises [1991] which I already added)
Pyramids (1973)

Le Salon Dore (framed) per Polly Guerin on this website http://rwanycblogginginthebigapple.blogspot.com/2009/12/mystique-of-hermes-scarf.html
"Le Salon Dore was issued in 1996 for the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Responding to popular demand, in 2007 Le Salon Dore was reissued, with proceeds benefiting the rebuilding of the New Orleans’ historic City Park carousel, which had been demanded by Hurricane Katrina, which was yet another Hermes nod to its equine roots."

Haute Montagne (1992) "A charitable scarf, to rebuild the Refuge des Cosmiques, by Cathy Latham, a mix of Fleurs de Montagne and Neige d'Antan https://www.flickr.com/photos/twiga_269/14429754692
A really interesting scarf -- click on the image in the link above and it will enlarge!

Wow, ABQ2ATL... these are fabulous! Historically fascinating scarves, especially the story about the reissue of Le Salon Dore as a fundraiser.

Thank you so much Pocketbook Pup. I thought it would be easier to show on photos as I would just tie myself up in knots (!!) trying in words. Here goes:

Step two:

Step four:

When you are tying the knot you need to do it so that you are pulling the two ends away from each other. Easy peasy!! I hope this is self - explanatory but if not just say! [emoji4]
This is a fabulous knot, pautinka... thank you! :flowers:

Thank you so much, @ABQ2ATL ! I have to tell you that you influenced me to buy the Belle Chasse scarf. I can't wait to get it. I'm a new collector, so I'm going a little crazy with scarves right now and have officially (??) put a cap on it. Thank you for posting your wonderful photos awhile back. ;)

Hi Cygne18 - These days I mainly lurk around here but I am totally enabling you on this silk-addiction. Here is a link I hope you will like. Have fun :
