Step three: holding the short tail pass the long tail under it and put up behind the scarf. Pull back towards you and tie. If you want a stubbier knot like in my original photo just wrap around again before tying. I like this knot as it seems to go well with jumpers, t-shirts and jackets.Thank you so much Pocketbook Pup. I'm not so organized this week. I have to pull out archive photos. I wore my brandebourgs shawl in Paris last week. 
I can't stop looking at this scarf, it is so beautiful, you are so right, IRL it is stunning yet when I have seen it up for sale I never considered it. Time to reconsider!
