Hi, today I'm wearing Bolduc au Carré fringed cashmere and silk scarf by Cathy Latham (90cm). This was my very first Hermes scarf that I had picked up at the airport while traveling home from Europe. I was in my early thirties at the time, and my mom being an Hermes lover since I was a little girl and wearing Caleche perfume, Hermes silk scarves, I used to think that Hermes was for more mature women. I bought this one because cashmere in this size made it more appealing and seemed practical for my age. Last winter my 16 year-old daughter wore it and liked it a lot. Looks wonderful on. It's such a cool, contemporary design. I had thought that scarves were meant for older women too, but how wrong I am. I'm in my late 30's now and wish I wore them more when I was younger. Growing up in the MD/D.C.-area, I was limited in my fashion exposure. However, after traveling to Europe in my early 20's and notably, PaREE-home-of-amazing-scarf-tying-women, I saw that the women there of all ages accessorize naturally and just so beautifully. I just didn't have that knack or willpower to do it. For the record, living in Tokyo for a few years made me realize that I also lack the layering-gene too. Owning an H scarf (or two or three..) definitely inspires me to fold and knot and wear these slices of silky art.

For the record, mom's waterfall knot turned out great. Took a few tries after some false starts, but we got it working. That's another good thing about owning scarves; you get to share with your loved ones, right @Kelly Star? :giggle:

Am finding Caty Latham week fascinating, she is such a versatile designer, does not seem to have a distinctive style in the way of Anne Faivre. Some of her designs seem very classic - Les Clefs - while others seem rather modern - Sulfures..
Love both styles!! Soo pretty!!

Thank you! [emoji4] Actually I admire the older designs and equestrian themes more than the contemporary ones, and I'm tempted to buy them more. In the case of this scarf it was the cashmere and the turquoise ribbons in it that attracted me, orange was my least favorite color, although I've grown to appreciate it. I have very pretty 140cm cashmere shawls, but I do wish to acquire another 90cm cashmere scarf as soon as I find one I like.

It's great to share to share scarves with loved ones Cygne18, we are both lucky I guess:)[emoji259][emoji253][emoji255]
