Of course Cygne18, there is the option that I simply don't take my children out to lunch! (But then that wouldn't be fun!). Yes, I turn my 90s round on my neck when eating but my shawl was worn tucked into a belt so was very easy to remove. Oh the joys of being the guardian of a much longed-for item! [emoji16][emoji16] Anyway, I better not stroll too far OT so think I might pop in a little photo of my only Latham. Wearing it yesterday (and seeing pbp's glorious Zenobie) made me realise that I need more autumnal colours. As always, I apologise for my Samsung photo quality.

So lovely, @Pautinka! Thank you for sharing. The red border and pops of yellow on your Latham are perfect with your neutral sweater. I love learning about new scarves through TPF. This is the best!

Ah, so turning the 90s around when eating is a common thing to do - good to know! My mom is borrowing the Marche du Zambeze tomorrow (I haven't even worn this recently acquired piece yet), so I'll share this tip with her. I'll be replicating the waterfall knot on her, which will be interesting since I have never tied a scarf on anyone else, let alone a complicated knot.:panic:Lots of yelling will ensue.

Hi Cygne18, I love your waterfall knot. :) I think it's sweet of you to try it on your mum. If tying the knot needs patience, just remember all the times she tied a scarf around your neck as a little girl.

By the way, I also turn my scarf around my neck when dining (or simply remove it).

That warms my heart. How very right you are, @litchi. I'll keep your wise words in mind tomorrow.

This looks really cool!

Dear ABQ2ATL, I love your Latham quizzes! Thank you for this amusement! - I want to add my guesses to the Pois de Soie quiz:
23, 26, 41 Gaucho
29, 30, 70 Epaulettes
49 Harald
75 Maillons
77 Egypt
Very good, Holsby -- all are right, except I'm not sure 23 is from Gaucho. It's got me stumped, but I just can't find that bit on my Gaucho. (I want it to be on Ferronnerie or Cles, but can't find it there either.)

HOLD YOUR (Hermes) HORSES -- I found three more Latham scarves not in the original list (in addition to Reveries Japonaises [1991] which I already added)
Pyramids (1973)

Le Salon Dore (framed) per Polly Guerin on this website http://rwanycblogginginthebigapple.blogspot.com/2009/12/mystique-of-hermes-scarf.html
"Le Salon Dore was issued in 1996 for the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Responding to popular demand, in 2007 Le Salon Dore was reissued, with proceeds benefiting the rebuilding of the New Orleans’ historic City Park carousel, which had been demanded by Hurricane Katrina, which was yet another Hermes nod to its equine roots."

A really interesting scarf -- click on the image in the link above and it will enlarge!

Good luck Cygne18 with your mum wearing your scarf today - I am sure she will cherish it and probably come back wanting her own after feeling a million dollars in her special square of silk!! Thank you for your lovely comments. This Latham is the only vintage scarf I have - I got it for a snip on ebay from a lady selling her aunt's estate. [emoji5]

Thank you so much Pocketbook Pup. I thought it would be easier to show on photos as I would just tie myself up in knots (!!) trying in words. Here goes:

Step four:

When you are tying the knot you need to do it so that you are pulling the two ends away from each other. Easy peasy!! I hope this is self - explanatory but if not just say! [emoji4]
