Croisette, you always post such beautiful things but that Beloved India is beyond the beyond!!! Love Love Love!!!!

JRTgal, many thanks for your sweet compliment!

You look gorgeous hermeshope, such an uplifting CW of this design!

Adorable pirula, I am intrigued by this design :smile1:

Thank you so much lyseiki8, many more great ideas for tying the MT.

Thank you so much Maedi!

Oh how I wish I had won the bid for that Beloved India in that CW croisette, it is magnificent!!

Dear Bova, my BI is not from an auction, I've bought it 3 years ago from a consignment
shop. Btw be careful, there are BI fakes flying around!

Dear Scarfies, my last blast on colourful scarves. This theme has made me realise I have many colourful scarves, probably as I am a girl who likes max bang for her bucks, and feel get more for my money with bright pink/orange/green/purple etc rather than something subtle! Think that subconsciously I have developed what I will now call "The Dame Edna Test": is it something Dame Edna Everage would have a dress made out of? If yes, buy. Oh dear...

Here is my new to me Casques et Plumets which I blame on the Julie Abadie theme week and the delightful enabling I received then:

And here is old pic I found of my secondhand Kimonos and Inros (Annie Faivre) another one which passes the Dame Edna test.

Oh dear Pudfish, you made my day!:lolots:

I have been enjoying my summer silks lately. The first one H issued was the Lalbhai and I am a sucker for anything called Klein Blue. Then another popped up at my store and I do not have this pattern, so I brought this one home to try out. It is a lovely neutral on the center section and the pop fuschia border really jazzes it up! Couvertures 140 ss Gris Perle/Fuschia/Noir.

Lovely, lanit!! The neutral and the fuschia combination is gorgeous!

Pudfish, you are not alone with Beloved India [emoji1]!View attachment 3021972

And this tiny pochette is Porte Bonheur

Croisette, your Beloved India: I die. It's divine.

That pink is the perfect Indian pink too. At certain times of the year that color was bursting everywhere in Delhi; the blooms, the saris. It's one of the things I remember most. That pink, and an incredible orange and a very specific saffron yellow. I truly believe it is the most colorful country in the world. Certainly that I have seen, and I've been fortunate enough to travel extensively. If I ever have the good fortune to find a Beloved India of my own, it can only be in this color, because it says "India" to me. Wear it in the best of health. Beautiful!

Lovely Croisette! I like the pairing of the Porte Bonheur with your flowery top, very clever! When I first got into scarves I thought I had to wear plain tops all the time but now I am getting into pattern mixing, such fun. makes getting dressed more interesting..
So glad I am twinettes with you on Beloved India, it's such a striking, vibrant scarf, looks almost as if colours painted on. I think it will be a great all year round scarf, it will cheer me up on dark winter days..

Hi everyone, I have been lurking and reading for a while as I haven't anything much to say, but I do have at least one bright scarf. Have probably posted it before, but here goes anyway:

Au Coeur de la Vie - have never been totally sure about the bright yellow border, but love the other colours so much!

Yes, from the famous location of "Sickbed" in Chronicillnesstown, Coughshire, UK. Trying out my mad Pat Butcher style earrings (UK joke).

Love to you all, Anny x

Yay, Anny! So great to see you back in action. I adore that scarf, it's fantastic, one I definitely covet. The animals seem to jump out of the picture. The yellow border works so well, I think it offsets the density of the design and the multiple colours really well.
P.s. like those earring, Pat would be proud. 😜

Lanit, you look great in both these scarves. Drooling over here...

Dear scarfies and other people,

since this ist my favourite thread I will use it to introduce myself:

"Hello, my name is Honeylocks and I am a scarf addict"
It all started around 2006 when I saw "Beloved India" in a shop window (not a hermes shop). I was drawn to it, saw the price tag and moved on.
Last winter I watched "25 was to tie a scarf" on youtube, which led me to MaiTai.
Some weeks later I had the chance to go to an Hermes-store. Was unprepared and asked for a design from 2 years ago, the SA just frowned at me :-(
By now, I got what I wanted in retail from the internet (always an adventure, learned about import taxes and how to spot fakes) and some new ones (via shop and hermes.com). Oh yes, the slippery orange slope......

I love the art, the colours, the texture of the silk on my skin, the versatility and playfulness, all the ways to wear them. They pimp everyday things so easily.:p

I was reading through many threads in the past months, besides this my favourite ones are Hermes with cheap outfits and Tango Tostca's scarf circus. You are all such an inspiration here, I love to see your pictures and appreciate the kind atmosphere in this forum.

So let me share my piece of bright: Bateau Fleuri in green and blue with fishies and birdies.

And I know I am late for Julie Abadie-week, but I tried to braid Ciels Byzantines into my hair.

Welcome Miss Honeylocks! What a great post explaining your descent down the orange post, a very interesting read. I too came to scarves via MaiTai and her blog. I also greedily read through Tango Tosca's Scarf Circus, isn't it fabulous? I feel the same way as you about scarves. I am also a relative newcomer to this forum and have found it tremendous fun and dangerously enabling!! Love your Bateau, such a wonderful design, have not got that one....yet....Very impressed with the scarf braided into hair, that is super advanced scarf magic!!

My dearest silkie friends, I was going to wait until Monday and a great outfit to share my latest beautiful acquisition, but I just can't wait. It also occurs to me that she is bright! and therefore fits this week's theme. So last minute entrant.

I still can't believe how quickly I was able to find (and barely win!) the scarf that became my grail from the moment I saw it the first time I logged into Purse Forum back in January. On our lovely AnnaE. For months I didn't even know what it was, but I was in love. I've posted about the find in other threads, so I'll just say THANK YOU again to AnnaE and marietouchet and without further ado.....

Dear Bova, I hope it was not the same auction I bought mine in otherwise I will feel bad; it was an auction on UK eBAy, a lady in Guildford I think; before that there was another one in same colourway on UK eBay sold by a very popular reseller up in Edinburgh, did not bid on that one as she is v popular and her scarves always sell at a premium.. Wouldn't you have to pay lots of horrible Customs duty and tax if you buy scarf in UK and bring it into US? I shy away for that reason from buying scarves in Japan, even though some really good ones come up..
Thankfullly, not the same one pudfish, I actually had bid on the one from Edinburgh and lost. The shipping is not too bad from there, less than some from some other sellers I have seen. Now back to topic ;)
