The first one, Luna Park, was my very first H scarf and a gift from my husband before we were married. I love it for that reason but I wish that it loved me back. Too much gold perhaps.

The second one is Mors. It’s a strange combination of light teal with lilac and yellow. I can’t find anything to wear it with and it doesn’t look great with a white t shirt, even.
Any ideas?
I think Luna Park looks wonderful on you! It does have a lot of gold but it looks very nice with your hair color. The Mors, on the other hand, does seem hard to wear. I think teal is sometimes a bit difficult - the lilac and yellow don't seem to flatter each other. Maybe a charcoal colored top?

You are deep rich colors in jewel tones. Spectacular dye job. You have the color sense of a professional artist.
I'm deep rich colors in earth tones, ambers, burgundy, olives, golden brown.

Gosh, what a fabulous compliment; thank you, dear eagle! I'm really more angsty about colors than you think, lol. And actually, I do envy you your ability to shine in earth tones. Even though my skin tone is yellow based, I look kind of dead when I wear those colors.

OH, I am an old hippie from way back. Had a fake ID and was drinking at 14. Pretended I was dumb in school, then got into an ivy league college and surprised everyone. Didn't drive a car until I was 36 and pregnant and living in suburbia. Am not afraid of being laughed at or admitting I don't know something. Just stuff like that.
Moma, you are fab!!!! [emoji11][emoji11][emoji11]

OK- here's my worst one. And here's my story. I make glass beads (lampwork) and perfume bottles....so of course I thought what I REALLY need is the scarf with perfume bottles on it! So I found one, but it had a green border. Of course, I was like, well, I'm fine with green, but it turns out not THIS green in particular and I knew it as soon as I got it an put it on. I keep it mainly for the darn hot pink bottle and the center but I always keep the border folded out of my sight at all times.....

the green that must not be seen

Ok wait...beads and bottles... I'm sure you're dying to see!

I actually don't mind the green. It looks similar to the soft sage of my Clé des Champs. In my humble opinion it seems to fight with the blue top but it looks lovely in the other two photos.

Your beads and bottles are beautiful. Some of my ancestors were bottle blowers in the north of England for several generations and it fascinates me as a craft. You are a very talented lady bunnycat.

That black cw of Luna Park was a grail for me. I suppose I ought to give it some time out of the box...
The thrill is in the hunt for me. When I actually get a grail, I don't always wear it. I seem to have this stable of sturdy trucks and SUVs which I run around in, and then the Aston Martins and Lamborghinis which I lusted for are all neatly dust-covered in the garage.

That Mors is a real challenge. Could you do a tone on tone with it? A lighter shade of teal?

Red. Darkish red. Or tones of blue or green about the same value of the teal. The red would be a contrast, obviously, and the latter suggestion is trying for similar colors. Or, third, dark green. Or, finally, yellow.

I have a pink undertone which a Prescriptives makeup consultant realized immediately when I arrived at her counter wearing a high-fashion very orange YSL blusher. Blusher stuck out like sore thumb. She advised that I could wear bright orange blusher when I wanted to look dramatic. I look good in orange just not on my face. :)
Thank you for the compliment, Joannadyne. I've never seen you look anything other than terrific in a HS in this forum except for the blah Sangles you resurrected (literally, gave it new life) thru the dye process.

This is certainly a great theme week. I thoroughly enjoyed all the discussions and advice, scarfies. This includes how to make light blues+whites work somehow (they're a pretty cw on a flat scarf -but- difficult for me to wear). I have to keep this in mind when looking at the Spring 2018 Scarves thread. I'm constantly drawn to the light blues  -- I tell myself, "you find them hard to wear!"

Oh, this thread has moved on like a runaway train this week! So, many thanks to those lovely people who commented on my post. I can’t find you all to quote you and answer any questions as I get lost on the thread.

I agree so much about the sisterhood idea (together with a very few brothers). I live in a majority male household and have lost any link with my sister. There are no female relatives at all on my side of the family. So, I have no one to ask if I “look good in this” or not!

Thank goodness for everyone on this wonderful thread :heart::heart::love::love::love::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I think being a narcissist is the "in" thing today. I have nobody particular in mind. I just see from one of those Q&A sites that narcissism is a hot topic. All the q's were about relating to them, getting over them, how exciting it is to be with them -- it was really pretty funny.
@HermesHope I've only got DH and my 2 DS to give me unhelpful comments so my best friend is the mirror. Yes, @eagle1002us it does sound very narcissistic. Oh well...

Impulse buy: Tatersale gavroche. This is what happens when I go shopping and drop by the H to chat with my SA. No intention of buying anything but my reptile brain goes "cute = buy" and I end up with little squares of silk. The double border of dark brown and chocolate are really not my thing, but since I like wearing gavs in pairs, I can lessen the impact by using another gav in a colour that suits me better.

Oh, I do the same thing!! Chat, something catches my eye, want, buy. Did that just last week....

Thank you for your feedback.
I would love to see your Luna Park styled.
Perhaps then I will have a greater love for it.
