So far I've worn my Mythiques Phoenix -- it seemed fitting as a "Year of the Rooster" scarf. But I think I should go dig up my Peuple du Vent for tomorrow. I'm sure there's a rooster there somewhere...

I'm loving all the birdies on display this week! I went birding on my sotd mistakenly thinking there was at least one bird on it, but to no avail. Not even a little bee to be found. Just lots of swirls to enjoy...

I've had Kermit Oliver's Texas Wildlife carré since 1987; it was the second scarf I added to my collection. Today I pulled it out of the drawer to enjoy the many Texas birds he represents so beautifully. There is the giant wild turkey in the middle, of course, but here are some other feathered beauties:
(1) Canada Goose, (2) Mallard, (3) Pintail, (4) Wood Duck

(7) Cardinal

(8) Peregrine Falcon. I think. Or else it's a Merlin. Any other birders (or Texans) on this thread who can keep me honest here?

And, is this a rooster ? Perhaps just a chicken....?

Found roosters in three expected and two unexpected places: Chanteclair, Fairytales, Reverie Pompeienne, Jeune Coqs and Les Coqs.

HAPPY YEAR OF THE FIRE ROOSTER to everyone around the globe. It has been a challenging start of the year, but things are finally getting into gear, though a lot is going to require adjustments to a new "norm". Wanted to share my CNY theme silks though I found it difficult to find any roosters - there are plenty of birds. I enjoy all your lovely bird images as they bring out the beauties of our winged friends as we prepare for spring.
Could be a rooster, though I think it is a Phoenix from Turandot...guess rooster would not have such a grand plumage.

Yours is so beautiful in that cw, xincinsin! Gorgeous collier too!Sisters with Croisette for this: my faded, stained and colour-run Bocage which I love to bits (and paid too much for, but love is priceless, right?). Archive shot all dressed up, SOTD slumming it with my Angry Birds tee, and a close-up of my fave birdie cluster - see the birdie with a crest of feathers doing the eye-roll
