Today is a day I needed some cheering up as we wait on some medical test results for DH. I head over here for some eye candy and am most plentifully rewarded by the most cheerful of colors - yellow. This isn't normally a color I gravitate towards but I'm learning to appreciate more after seeing everyone's fabulous posts. Like others, I didn't think I had a lot of yellows in my collection but wow, so many use yellow as an accent color! It can really add a bit of "pow!" to a design. Here are a few I can share:
Sangles

Flanerie a Versailles (it's more an orangey gold, but gold is still in the yellow family!)

Gotta admit, this is the red-headed stepchild of my collection - Chasse au Bois

And lastly, my latest precious that I just couldn't help but get - it has a beautiful dash of yellow along with just about every color in the rainbow: Iris cw 08

Yellow problems - picture right to left: Les Couvees, Farandoles, Indian Dust, Barcaroles, Les Domes Celeste and X. Love and wear Indian Dust, Barcaroles and Domes, the others wash me out completely. Really dislike X's colours, esp in that combo, but simply love the patttern - never worn it. The Domes is more greenish which strangely enough looks accepable against my face.

Here are my two yellow scarves: Au Coeur de la Vie and Au Pays des Oiseaux Fleurs. These pics are a bit blurry as they were taken with my old iPad. Mind you, the blurring hides the wrinkles!

Many thanks to those who have responded to my previous posts with likes or comments. This is really appreciated. I find it hard to keep up with this thread as there are so many wonderful photos and you all look so gorgeous.
These are so pretty on you!

I know that frustration when a selfie just won't turn out the way you wanted! But you are beautiful, and I hope to be your cousin soon on the moussie!
(I know LOL)
Thank you! You're so sweet. Hope we can be triplets with ABQ2ATL!

@CanuckBagLover so posh - you look like you're warding off the paparazzi! :amuse:

LOL I wish! But thanks!

Hello Au Coeur de la Vie Twin! This looks fabulous on you!!!! This scarf just glows and brings a smile to me whenever I see/wear it. Your Au Pays is brilliant! LOVE these on you! (I need a "Blurry" photo feature on my phone to "soften" my turkey neck!)

Joannadyne,
I am so sorry about your day! Your DH is in my prayers. Thank you for your sweet complements on my pics! I am so excited to be your Iris Moussie cousin. Your 08 is SPECTACULAR! If my store had your cw, I would have purchased that one! I agree with you that ALL IRIS scarves and moussies are beyond beautiful. Each has its own special something.
I hope that today is a better day for you. Take care.

I used to shy away from yellow: too bright, too attention-seeking in large formats, and it made my complexion look jaundiced. So my secret vice was to buy the pretty ones in small formats - more wallet-friendly for a scarf I might or might not wear. But like our dear scarf mistress, I've been edging closer to the sunshine. In my case, after the cream and lemon drops, I kinda leapt past true yellow and recently acquired a couple of personal grails in gold which are still navigating the mail system to me. Meanwhile, here are the little cobblestones in my yellow brick road :coolio:

Under the Waves mousse has some yellow - perfect for the hot weather we've been having here. Sorry for the scowl - getting frustrated trying to take a selfie (sad thing is this was the best one!)

This moussie is GORGEOUS! I really fell hard for "Under the Waves" and purchased two 90cm silks and a twilly. (The sweet turtle makes my heart melt!) I wish I had been in the market for a moussie, but my money tree said, "No."
I will admire yours forever! (You can wear every color Hermes makes! All of your pictures make me swoon.)

BEAUTIFUL YELLOW SCARVES!
You are such a great writer! I love your descriptions and metaphors! I remember my mother telling me never to wear yellow.... It' s funny to see that even though I don't have many yellow colored clothes, I DO have lots of scarves with yellow as either the main color or used as accents. I have found that if I have a predominantly yellow scarf, I balance it with a top or dress that has the accent color (not yellow) as the main color. Then, it works for me. I do this with soft pastel colored scarves, too. Pastels always wash me out, but if paired with a bolder or darker top, it changes the way the scarf looks on me. I guess if the scarf isn't placed too close to my face, I can justify wearing colors that really don't work for me otherwise. I do hope I am making sense here..... I just woke up about thirty minutes ago and the coffee hasn't "kicked" in, yet.
