HNN, so very sorry for your loss and sending hugs to you dear. My heart goes out to you. Thank you for sharing their story and your beautiful silks. 70 years! DH and I are getting close to the halfway point of that: so inspirational.

The Zambeze, I cannot take my eyes off of it. I have to track this one down. Only available in France?
Hi lanit! No, I got this from the UK site. [emoji11]

So pretty!
I couldn't find a cw of Iris which I liked at my H, and it wasn't a design I felt comfortable buying online. And totally missed the CLF gavroche. The SAs looked at me oddly when I described it to them - they were oblivious to its existence

I'm beginning to think of you as one of our silkies who is a bright-and-happy scarf person, Silkgrl13.

These pinks are sweet and suit you so well, moma. ;) Is that Sieste au Paradis in the second set of photos a 90cm?
LOL! I may have to change my username! I love colors, if I am going to wear accessories I want to make sure it is bright.

Thanks litchi. The hem is really zingy and wild. I have just checked - the UK site still has Zambeze. Don't know if that's of use to you or not.
Thank you, Pautinka. I wasn't attracted at all to La Marche du Zambeze and Savana Dance when they both came out -- esp. LMdZ -- the colours looked too vivid and intense for me! :amazed: Eventually, I got past my hesitation over SD by getting one in my comfort colour (blue).

I think I'm gettin' to that bright, pop-colour place slowly, slowly... I appreciate theme weeks like this current one that share unconsidered beauty and nudge us out of our comfort zones. :hugs:

Dear scarfies, thank you for your constant inspiration and your Likes, too!

Just arrived in the post, fresh from Paris. My Savana Dance pales into comparison alongside this bright beauty. Twins with Hermes Nuttynut on this Marche du Zambèze. I think I need to borrow Pocketbook Pup's sunglasses as it is super-bright! I love it!!!! No more new scarves now until AW. Honest. [emoji7][emoji41]

On a different note, does H no longer produce the Histoire des Carrés booklet? You know the one with the stories behind the scarf rather than just the one with the photos? I requested a copy with my order but they have sent me the one with the photos for SS17, which I already have. Shame, as the story helps make the scarf. Perhaps there aren't any stories this year. [emoji22]
There is A scarf stories booklet for SS17- hope you find one.

Furbydoggie, litchi, xincinsin, and Moirai - I appreciate your kind thoughts.

Furbydoggie - I'm happy to share the scarf photos!! I love seeing everyone's Scarf of the Week, and I'm glad I can contribute!!

litchi - My parent's long marriage was truly remarkable. I'm so proud of them.

xincinsin - I've heard of long-married couples who pass away close to the same time, and actually wondered if my parents would do that. I appreciate how deeply in love they were.

Moirai - Thank you for your condolences. This week's bright scarves are especially delightful to see!!
So sorry for your loss. Sounds like you had wonderful parents, and were a wonderful daughter for them. My parents did not make it quite as long as yours, but they died just 7 months apart. It seemed fitting as they were very much a "couple" who did everything together.

Croisette - Thank you for the hugs. I need them!!

scarf1 - I don't think it's a coincidence that couples in love want to stay together. :hbeat:

Yes, these weeks are so helpful. I know we always all say how much others' photos help enable us but it is so true. H should give us a discount for doubling their sales!! [emoji16][emoji16]
I am sure you would look great in a bright dazzling scarf like Zambeze. I am just hoping I will get a nice tan in the summer to show it off. Blue, cold Scottish skin isn't really the best background for it!! I always set out to get a neutral but the brights always win. I love how we are all drawn to different things.
