Wow, Joannadyne -- these are all fabulous!
I've never seen those colorways of Fleurs de Lotus or H2O -- and Rialto is very unusual and lovely. Clever of you to find those fountains on FaV too -- what a great post, thanks!

Agree - the Rialto is a favourite! I bought mine as a memento of visits to the great city - well pre-loved and soft in a pale pink CW - should have been a blue as a reference to the water but it proved so difficult to find and my patience was running low :-)

I like dark cws for my ship scarves. My Jonques et Sampans is in grey, which makes it look like the ships are moored at night, casting dark shadows. The Retour de Peche is in navy (pun intended) with the fishing boats in a ghostly lighter blue, returning to port in the dim twilight or at the cusp of dawn. It is with great restraint that I am not buying a daylight cw just to balance the yin and yang  T'would ruin the whole Flying Dutchman/Mary Celeste vibe I've got going

Such lovely pictures you are literally painting with your words to go with the scarves - a great storyteller :-)

Rose compas - one of my favorite and easy to wear designs. I showcased the 70 earlier. Here shown with the first 2 mousselines I bought. ( and my first enamel bangle- and most used one at that!)
These are stole format. Surprisingly, the pink one is my most used scarf- I think because it looks so great worn with navy and black.View attachment 3634487

Oooh, so you really are a proud owner of the compas beauties - I'll hunt for a 90 in a suitable CW when there are no 140 moussies to be had - all yours are so lovely!!

Okay, a trip to Scarf Mistress archives has brought up the following (but not Mare Nostrum for some reason)

I love your aubergine Trophees de Venice! Mine is a bunch of colors, a very chameleon scarf.IMG_1489712453.924308.jpgIMG_1489712506.561890.jpg

Very nice, moma! I especially like that second knot that shows the prow-heads of the gondolas -- I think your colorway has better contrast than mine in that corner. (I tend to tie mine to get the birds on the adjoining corner.)

A couple of offbeat scarves today with tangential relationship to our theme:
I ran out of fruits de mer, so my little mermaid has come out to play:

And after the flood waters have receded, the animals exit the ark.

Whoa, xincinsin! You have indeed brought out the offbeat scarves today -- I love the mermaid and I had to laugh at the clever sequel to the now-ebbed waters that floated Noah's ark.

Holsby's picture has been driving me crazy, as it looks like mine but not quite -- I think I have it now, but will welcome corrections if I'm wrong. I believe Holsby is showing a 2010-11 reissue, which indeed has plenty of "Violine."
Mine (below) is the original 2004 issue without the lavender leaves on the corners and with the pale-feathered masks on the flat sides of the inner square (between the huskies, bear and Eskimos). It may have been described as only Marron/Noisette, but if there was another color on the tag, I'd like to know. Now I think I want a reissue too!

Excellent ABQ2ATL! You are quite right, mine is a reissue from the AW 2010/11 collection. Problem solved so far, but still a specific answer to your color-question remains.

Thank you ABQ2ATL - your CdC is to die for. I bet it is stunning over a little black dress. The Trophées looks like it would be amazing tied. What amazing scarves they all are.
