Thank you, ABQ2ATL---it's fun to share with admirers who "get it!"Thanks for this insight, bruxelles -- I love blanc matte and how H is able to give such subtle effects to scarves that photograph as merely pretty but have on "Oh Wow" effect IRL.
I just love how this looks on you! Is this a 90? I would love to someday be your twin ...
Eau Eau SOTD is A Contre-Courant. The Chinese believe that the carp which swims against the current will reach the Dragon's Gate and, once it leaps through the gate, it will transform into a dragon.

These past few weeks have shown me what a dire hole I have to fill in my collection! I need more music and water-themed scarves in my life, especially since I adore classical music and work for the aquatics industry. And so the hunt continues ...
In the meantime, here are four that i was able to dig up to suit this week's watery theme:

Wow, you are right ABQ. Mine is exactly like yours. Definitely grey/blue fronds in the corners. I think there is a thread here dedicated to VdGN, but I don't have time to pursue it today. Let us know what your sleuthing uncovers! Fascinating.Holsby's picture has been driving me crazy, as it looks like mine but not quite -- I think I have it now, but will welcome corrections if I'm wrong. I believe Holsby is showing a 2010-11 reissue, which indeed has plenty of "Violine."
Mine (below) is the original 2004 issue without the lavender leaves on the corners and with the pale-feathered masks on the flat sides of the inner square (between the huskies, bear and Eskimos). It may have been described as only Marron/Noisette, but if there was another color on the tag, I'd like to know. Now I think I want a reissue too!

Thank you so much, Pudfish! I have seen it occasionally for sale, but not so often---I adore this scarf! And not one often seen me thinks on the reseller market, I am not surprised, it is a gem. Love the penguins, they look very jaunty.

sorry for the double post---I don't know what happened…? It left my hands before I was finished!Thank you so much, Pudfish! I have seen it occasionally for sale, but not so often---
Thank you so much, Pudfish! Orchard mentioned the Shackleton scarf as a whole was a limited edition design, so maybe that's why you don't see it for sale very often?
I went through that thread, but I think it's for the reissue series: here's a link to the H Scarf Guides discussion of the reissue colorways.Wow, you are right ABQ. Mine is exactly like yours.
