Fascinating story to match a fascinating scarf. Thanks xincinsin!

It's a very popular theme for Lunar New Year decorations, messages of encouragement to students and you can also get the most gorgeous tattoos! (Sorry, off theme!)

Hurrah and good on you, HNN! I thought I'd post La Treve de l'Eau, the ultimate wildlife water scarf, later this week, but forgot I'd be traveling. "The Truce of Water" is one of my favorite Dallet scarves. I love how he shows the animals keeping "The Truce of Water" -- if only Man can do the same!

Thank you, ABQ2ATL. Those are my thoughts exactly. The animals all gather together in peace. :girlsigh::hbeat:

Wow! That top photo is stunning. You can sense the trial of endurance those poor fish are going through to reach those gates.....reminds me of trying to work my way through the H website. If I don't find what I am looking for I become a fire - breathing dragon too!! [emoji6][emoji4]

This is such a wonderful scarf, impossible to find, and you have the best CW! So beautiful, bruxelles!
Thank you---I almost missed it! I wasn't too drawn to the very pale cw's, so I passed on it originally. Then I read the biography of Ernest Shackleton, the Endurance (his ship) and his courageous expedition…I knew I had to have the scarf because he was amazing! The scarf actually makes it look like a happy time was being had by all. Not the case. This is probably the "warmest" cw of all that I've seen. I love the depth of the purples and grays.

La Vie du Grand Nord is a very appropriate scarf these days!!! We hear in media even in Sweden about your weather! Hope you will have a nice time nevertheless!
I once owned La Vie du Grand Nord color way 16 Marron/Noisette/Violine. Here is a picture. The colors were not right for me, sorry to say, so I brought it back to the store. Instead I got another, that I will post later this week. Cold and stormy weather here too!

Holsby's picture has been driving me crazy, as it looks like mine but not quite -- I think I have it now, but will welcome corrections if I'm wrong. I believe Holsby is showing a 2010-11 reissue, which indeed has plenty of "Violine."
Mine (below) is the original 2004 issue without the lavender leaves on the corners and with the pale-feathered masks on the flat sides of the inner square (between the huskies, bear and Eskimos). It may have been described as only Marron/Noisette, but if there was another color on the tag, I'd like to know. Now I think I want a reissue too!
