Froufrou, I concur with textile about the navy and brown. My Reprise has the burgundy border. I adore that design. You look beautiful!

Textile, great way of wearing this scarf. I am on the other spectrum. I like my scarves crunchy and stiff. They soften up soon enough and feel so luxurious when they are rustling and right out of the box.

Seton, this is a marvelous color way. Would it look good with your Leila shawl or is it more cool toned?

Melora, you showcase the versatility of the sp. Ed. cosmos beautifully.

MYH, I vote for the silver ring. AN is stunning as is your Pico. Want!

Croisette, I like how you drape your GMs so artfully. Beautiful!

Elaine, I look forward to seeing your scarf choice.

Team silk - I have been eager to share a new find with y'all. I'm hopelessly off theme today and am having an even harder time with headless selfies. Some days they are easy and other days, impossible. C'est la vie. So I'm an admitted Astrologie nouvelle junkie (have two 140cms and have been hunting a 90 cm forever). It takes a lot of restraint not to bid on the perforated ones I see all the time. So I snagged one that I felt had a casual cw vibe and TBH, my orange Pico was demanding it also. The orange in the scarf is more of a burnt orange, but that's ok close enough! Ever since my stinky kelly went back to her homeland, I have been carrying my picos around a lot! So here she is with some mod shots. As you can see, I'm still playing around with modified cowboy knots. I'm determined to come up with a few more! Which one looks better? The smaller gold ring or larger silver one? Thanks for reading my silky tale.

Congratulations, MYH! I would prefer the golden scarfring, just my taste.

Frou Frou - you are a classic beauty! You wear the scarves so well, and I'm sure am a real head turner when you walk down the street. I would swivel my neck.

MarieTouchet - stop it! you are going to make me start hunting this Proues. I've always shied away from the classic designs because I'm more of a modern gal, but your observation about the geometric design is spot on. So this one might be the best of both worlds for me.

How have I missed this at the Getty and Frick? I will look more closely at the boats next time I'm in both places.

Croisette - your pics are pure eye candy! I jump from your CDC, to your rings, your shawls, your jackets. Perfection. I'm so glad you started posting so many pics recently. Thank you!

I totally know what you mean about how some scarves will tie around the neck and not make you look like you suffered a neck injury while others do the opposite. go figure. you look ready for east coast weather!
Thank you for your sweet compliments, MYH!

This is gorgeous - love the warm orange and gold colours and matches your bag perfectly. Congrats!

Two more Ledoux, I must be a classic girl at heart . The Reprise was my pride and joy in the day , but I could never get the horsemen in their red coats to show so unless I wore it in a triangle it looked like a bandage .
Wisdom of years at least gives me insight into how to wear it .I haven't looked at it in years it's not as bad as I thought .

Proues with my navy knitted cape .
You look stunning!

MYH, from one picotin and astrologie nouvelle lover to another, this pairing if is so beautiful and cheerful! I was lucky enough to snag an astrologie nouvelle in the black/gold cw while running through Heathrow to catch a flight, and my brand new picotin (graphite/plumb) is sadly residing in my husband's closet until I open it on Christmas Day, but when I do, I'll share a photo of them with you! LOVE the way you've tied the scarf and included the scarf ring as a subtle bit of bling

Your cape! I love this. It's so simple and timeless and "throw it on chic"! Thank you for the inspiration. I'm going to try to copy you shamelessly. :D

All of these look so beautiful on you, and the casual vibe you are looking for!

I thought that I would post a few Ledoux, the beige Napoleon is from 1963, the pink from 1985

Lovely CWs, marietouchet. Thank you.

Also Nefs d Or 1970s by Ledoux

The boats were made of gold or porcelain, there are some of the objets d art at the Getty museum in LA or the Frick in NY

Now that you've shown this, I remember seeing these objets in the Frick when I was in high school. I lived in the NYC suburbs, and used to go into "the city" on Saturdays for my flute lesson and, afterwards, to visit a museum. The Frick was a favorite... just the right size!
