I can't have or see enough Breton stripes with H silks , and yellow with the stripes is so fresh.

I'm of an age and have decided that it's all in the mind and attitude . You wear this beautiful scarf elegantly in a way that a very young woman couldn't do if she tried . I do sometimes feel that the silks need to be roughed up with something edgy ,so I stick on a pair of Converse or Palladium canvas shoes or a leather jacket.
Thank you, Bova, calexandre, and froufrou! I agree about softening the carré look with some funky shoes or jacket now and then!

Very pretty, Melora!

Hi frou frou! It's fantastic to see you in these classics, looking just as exciting as when they first came out.

Knockout colorway, Bova!

What a beauty, ElainePG, and a bargain as well? You had to buy it! Maybe try it with the basic fold, wrap once around, knot and tuck in the ends, or twice around and knot. :smile1:

This is quite yummy, Maedi, it makes us feel warmer just looking at those glorious colors. :D

Okay, multi-quote is longer working here....

Chestnutty, your Au Coeur de la Vie is superb! And you look marvelous in it. Wearing it this way is such a pretty and feminine way to show off the intricate pattern. This colorway is almost completely opposite my tropical turquoise one., that's for sure!

cherryblossum - Another winner, love the blue border on your Promenade and it's perfect with the leather. Well done!

Given how nice the blue/green MetM looks with your avatar, I'd definitely vote for the acquistion of this colorway, Greengoddess.

momasaurus - Your Comedie Italienne is brilliant in both of these pictures, and I bet it could go casual too - the beauty of the classics. :D
Thank you, Pierina. I might need some assistance with making Comédie more casual. I hope to find time soon to bring it over to the 90casual forum. Would be grateful for any suggestions!

Birdonce, rainneday, MYH, Greengoddess8, Kitty S, frou frou, Bova123, Croisette7, Calexandre - Thank you for your kind compliment. The scarf is indeed from the first issue. In fact, all of my Au Coeur de la Vie colorways are from the first issue, until I succumb to the temptation of the white/red colorway of the current issue.

Oh geez Pierina, look at your lip color, your jacket, your hair, your entire outfit. How could one guess you have daughters my age? Any secret of age defying to share?

momasaurus - You look very elegant in the Comedie Italienne. Congrats on your find!

Indeed, Calexandre! And glad we buy from two different boutiques, otherwise the blue silk section will be depleted! 'Til we meet one day .
A good news, though, is that recently I have been leaning toward the purple slope. We'll see how long that'll last.
Merci, Chestnutty!

Thank you, Bova and pierina.
Nova your Promenade is such a fab color way!

Pierina, I totally agree w/Chestnutty. You look smashing in an adventurous, elegant way. Bravo to this look!

Chestnutty, your Au Coeur is a beauty. I think H did a great job with the 2014 re colorations.

Momasaurus, you wear his scarf beautifully and in a fresh way (not at all aging).

Froufrou, ha-ha, I also bought Gabrielle after Arabesques modeled it. Love your outlook on mixing things up.

Elaine, I like how you showcased the beautiful flowers on your scarf.

Croisette, another much appreciated lesson on colors for N. Wow!

Cherry blossom, I adore Promenade and like the look of the past plissés.
Thank you for the kind words, Maedi! :smile1::smile1::smile1:

Off-theme, but especially for birdonce, because of Breton stripes: Quai aux Fleurs in a messy criss-cross knot with a honey-toned horn shawl ring.
I bought the scarf in 1990, so it's lovely and soft. I used to wear it with navy suits; now it's great with denim!:smile1:

I love this look. Quai has been on my wishlist for a long time, but I think this combo just moved it up several notches!

Dmitri Rybaltchenko's version of Ledoux's Springs - New Springs. Archive pics of dubious quality, but it's the only vaguely Ledoux scarf at the moment. :smile1: Should go shopping!

I love this. The CW is unexpected - who would have thought terra-cotta, turquoise and brown could look so wonderful together. I find that I look to my scarves more often for color ideas when I am trying to find something to wear.

"Throwing it on" looks glamorous and classic here! Gorgeous scarf.

This ties beautifully! This is feeding my desire for more black-background scarves. :D

You look fabulous with and without the lipstick. That being said, I want to jump through the screen and commandeer that lipstick, because the shade is amazing. (I also love that mirror in the background.)

Beautiful choice! This design is wonderful, and this color combo is so lively.

Congrats on the beautiful jacquard! There's just nothing like the shimmer and drape of the jacquard silk.
Thank you calexandre!

I am with you on the stripes and silks! I love your advice on combining silk with punk. I like giving my business looks an edge by wearing my CdC. It is such a great bracelet, and is a subtle reminder to today's hipsters that they didn't write the book on studs and chains, LOL!
