I am jealous ElainePG! This is beautiful. I am consistently tempted to purchase this design. I think you can definitely style with neutrals, especially grey to highlight the grey portions of the scarf. Even what looks like a small amount of blue in the scarf would be a fun way to draw the eye away from the green/red look. I have to say that after seeing froufrou's photo with her Napoleon scarf, that even though her's has red and green I believe, it does not look "Christmas-y". So enjoy and have fun with such a great design!!![]()
Gorgeous CW, maedi. I've never worn a Dip Dye. Is it still silk? Or is a different material?Off-topic: Brazil Dip Dye GM kept me cozy today![]()
I was wondering the same thing FlorasunHow many Bday gifts does that make Elaine
. I am trying to learn from you on this as well

I LOVE these earrings Elaine! What a perfect jewelry birthday gift! And, you can't forget about a birthday bag![]()
Melora - your modified cowboy is perfection! Kitty S - happy you are also joining in with this knot and received compliments! That's the best, no? When I tried on the Marwari dip dye at the wall st store, the SA was also mesmerized when I whipped up this knot around my neck. She said she had never seen it tied that way before. Imagine that, showing a Hermes scarf SA a new trick.![]()
Oh, these Napoleon scarves with the bees have also been calling my name. Especially since I have a bee and pearl necklace that's one of my favorites. Elaine PG - sounds like you have been on a little bit of a bender on evilbay?me too! I will reveal my new find tomorrow. I also agree that grey or navy would be a good match with the scarf. Frou frou - you are looking gorgeous in all your mod shots. I'm loving the shot with the cowboy knot. Taking a traditional scarf a casual route.
I'm excited too, GG! It should be here next week. Will I be forgiven if I post a bit late, even if "Ledoux week" has passed?Elaine congratulations!!! I love the green in this Ledoux. And, a jacquard to boot![]()
You lucky lady, I can't wait to see it styled![]()
Thank you for for the sweet comments on my Napoleon and P de Longchamps , S'Mom,bunnycat,Melora, bova 123Elaine PG,greengoddess,, Chestnutty, Florasun, MYH and Maedi,
Elaine the tie in the first Napoleon shot you asked about , hmm I did just sling it on tie very roughly as if about to do a bow knot and instead of completing the bow I folded back the tails and tucked them inside the high V of my top , I find sticking the ends inside the bra keep it in place ...
I think we have identical scarves except for the border , and mine is a very strong reddish orange .More orange [ photos were webcam with flash and look more red]
I never associate Christmas with the colour , just think Winter with snow on the trees in the Bois de Boulogne, and intrigue in the carriages !
Try to disappear the borders if you are overwhelmed by the green , as I am with the orange .
Inside a v neck with your magnets will be fab , and I favour the one where I either knot or twist and bring ends to the back to tie .
It's gorgeous anyway , and I hope you will love it .
Wow, croisette... that is magnifique!
Hello ladies!
I have been a student this week since I had not known about great Philippe Ledoux. I cannot find any other words except gorgeous and awesome to compliment to all of you here! Thank you for your contributions, ladies!
Dear Croisette , thank you for your wonderful collection of Ledoux. It's an encyclopedia!
Thanks to dear Croisette& dear sparkle, I could find some scarves in my collection related to Ledoux; La Promenade de Longchamp, Harnais de Cour, and New Springs . New Springs is designed by Dimitri R. Is he related to Vladimir R. And Ledoux? I believe the original design is Springs of Ledoux!
Today, I wore La Promenade de Longchamp, which I bought at Faubourg-Saint-Honore H boutique 20 years ago. It used to be a plissé scarf, but no longer plissé

It looks so beautiful against your jacket with the velvet turned-back cuffs. A splendid outfit, dear croisette!
Old and stuffy? You????? Never!!!!My only Ledoux is my recently acquired Comédie Italienne. I've tried to tie this in my usual sloppy knots, but this scarf refuses to be worn casually! So I wear it when I need to look pulled together, and just hope that I don't seem too old and stuffy.
I might head over to the 90s casual thread and ask for advice.
It looks amazing in yellow, croisette! I hadn't seen Potager in this CW before... does yellow only come in the GM? I may have to rething what I'm looking at in the Hermes boutique, LOL!
