Silkies, I have come over to the blue side--slowly but truly. This moussie is the first and only silk my dh has bought for me and since I have worn it (according to my spreadsheet) the most of all my silks--I declare it my work horse. (yuck--sorry about straggly hair)

I like your moussie :) I think moussies are great -only if the color is intense. I can't find a use for my pale yellow, but my orange is great. Blue and pink ones seems gorgeous too. Maybe the colors need to be bolder due to the thinness of the fabric? (does "thinness" exist?)

DH must be proud of his purchase. Bring on spring showers!

Ah this thread is dangerous for a newbie like me. Now I want a moussie!

Yup. That's how it works.

I love the work horse theme. Such a sensible one!

Here's one of my two work horses. This is Passiflores.

(Can you tell it's still wintry around here?)
This is awesome, nana! Congrats!

In honor of April's fool (April's fish in France: kids hang paper fish on the back of people), I'm wearing Rencontre océane, mousseline GM. I twisted the basic bias fold because it was bulky, and made a criss-cross knot with my plastic salmony-pink-ish belt-buckle-as-ring.
Rencontre Océane is such a great design! and in mousseline, la crème de la crème, my dear! Perfection!

This is so beautiful on you, dear Chestnutty! Congrats on getting both special issues - does the green scarf come with a Jardin perfume as well?

Maybe it's because they look wonderful on you, dear D Lee;)!

I am impressed with your SA, dear Anfang - seeing these on the website, I would never in a million year had tried it on! But it does look wonderful on you!

Thank you for your kind words, dear Pegase - we had a nasty mix of rain, hail and snow this weekend, so playing with the scarves indoor was the most I could do - I'll post modeling shots soon, I promise
And I love, love this CW of Au Coeur de la Vie - the details come out so vividly, it's amazing!

Oh my gosh!! Pegase, this cw was not released in the States or I would have pounced on it and oddly, the apricot cw was ghastly on me too. I was so excited to see it---it glows in luminosity, but ackkkk on this face. Maedi, have you tried it? It has to make someone around her glow!!

94107, you look DARLING and I love the post from an airport bathroom--like our precious Tanker Toad's posts.

nana, what a regal scarf. I admire it on evilbay often but have never seen one irl. Amazing on your gorgeous neck.

sophieg, as Pegase said, I miss your sweet smile also. Come on, drape a silk on and give us a curly smile.

Well, I too would not have, but my SA is the best! :D

My SA really is the best one, my dear! She puts me in trouble anytime!:D

A superb one, really, sparklelisab!

Posting two of my workhorses, both CSGMs unsurprisingly given the chilly climate! :p

First one is Sequences, one of my first shawls and from the Men's section no less. The second one is LdR that just works with everything. Please excuse the messy knots, after a long day at work I don't really care how they end up.

Chestnutty - beautiful Leila. Can you please share how you are tying your new go to knot? I like it!

MYH, D Lee - Sorry to keep you guys waiting. Here are the steps of this cozy knot:

1) Fold the scarf into a triangle

2) Fold about 3-4 inches:

Fold another layer

3) Put on your head like a head scarf, with two ends cross in the front

4) Tie two ends behind the neck with two simple knots

5) Wrap the scarf corner around the knot done above:

6) Drop the hood down

7) turn the back to the front 180 degrees or 90 degrees, depending on which part you want to show in front of your neck. Voila!

Pros: no fold wrinkles, able to show details located at/near the center of the scarf
Cons: bulky and too cozy for warmer days.

Many thanks to Mr. Teddy Bear!

D Lee, Ms Piggy, Anfang, Sophieg, Melora, Lanit, Jahna, Sparkle, eagle1002us - Thank you all for the compliments on my beloved Leila set and Tigre shawl.

Pegase - Thank you for sharing close-up pics of your parchemin Leila and mastic Au Coeur de la Vie. Very pretty and tempting!

Maedi - I always feel relieved when a scarf doesn't suit me One checked off the long list, I don't mind! I actually had to check off the powder blue Au Coeur de la Vie twill, my SA said I looked grey with that one on. Great, now I have only one on my list, the white/red.
Ms Piggy - Great jersey - such a classic design as well! You wore it very well. Thumbs up!

Second close up
This scarf is so pretty close-up, Paula! I never really paid attention to it, but now I think I may add to my ever elongated wishlist, Hah! Thank you for sharing!

I have a hard time advising on this as you well know, I am weak when it comes to white silks. All I can say is double up on the silk LeBlanc wash dear. And you have the marvelous Special collector Leila twill already, do you need a CS GM version as well?
You are correct, Lanit. I thought about that and think the blue in twill is pretty already and the contrast is higher (Gosh, what do I know? I haven't seen the bluw IRL yet, and Leila is a design that one must see IRL to judge). I think I may become Maedi's twin with the wine/white shawl. If I can resist some cashmere goodies that are coming up next Fall. Sigh...

Climbing the tree in L'Arbre de Vie... a peacock, a deer and... something feline, maybe?
Aww sophieg thank you for sharing the close-up photos of your Platon and L'Arbre de Vie. L'arbre de vie is always my favorite!

I don't understand why I wear these two scarves the most. Maybe it's because I like dark-coloured clothes & these two go well with them!:smile1:
I know why! You LOVE fuchsia!

Sparkle - Thanks for sharing the KO story. Haha while everybody is gaga over turkey and southern birdies, you love a skunk . Gotta love you my friend!
P/S: your BIN paw is so sensitive :D. Welcome to the blue slope!

nana845 - You look incredibly great in vintage designs and gold scarves! I'm so envious! Love you bob too!

Melora - Rencontre Oceane mousse is incredible! Lock you door otherwise I'll raid your closet one day for it!

Scarf Addict - Wave Hello to you too my Lab du Temps twin! Any spring damage update, dear?

Nico_79 - Nico these are great neutrals indeed! The grey Instruction du Roy is the one that got away for me. I kept debating whether or not I should get yet another classic shawl and before I knew, it's sold out in US stores. Hope H will issue more grey shawls in the future.

Chestnutty, do become my Leila twin. I, too, felt relieved when several scarves looked blah on me. Did you try the ice blue Au Coeur?

Sparkle, the apricot Tiger looked good on me. Another customer even thought so. It went well with my hair and I am sad I missed out on it.

Thx Chestnutty, I will experiment when I get home. Love to show the phoenix in Mystiques Phoenix.

And a very heavily used for years now : 140 DD Les Clés gris bleu/bleu moyen :
Hi Anfang,
This blue is SO pretty! I am now in jeans 95% of the time & I specifically seek out this or a similar color. If this is in moussie, I would get it in a heart beat. But couldn't see the design well from the photo!

Chestnutty, how clever and creative are you and your knotting skills! Thanks for sharing.

Anfang, could you post a picture of your dd 140 cm Concours. I am indecisive on colors. Tia!

Nico, thanks for your input and your workhorse scarves are spectacular!

I cannot think of a workhorse scarf and try to rotate most of them equally. Oh, just thought of one :)

nana845 I have a busy life at home, cooking and taking care of my kids. I keep my scarf on most of the time, but turn it around (it hangs on my back). this way, most of my scarves survive to cooking, dishwasher loading, kid's bath and so on ;)

sophieg, scarf1, Anfang, Chestnutty thanks for your compliments!

Nico gorgeous shawls! Specially love the second (although I'm still trying to fgure out what LdR means ;) ) (edit: got it!!)

Chestnutty thank you and bear for the tutorial. I've seen something similar for mousselines: just put the triangle on the head, knot in front and back, and drop the hood down. More appropriate with the aerial fabric of mousse.

I love the work horse theme. Such a sensible one!

Here's one of my two work horses. This is Passiflores.

(Can you tell it's still wintry around here?)

LOVE Passiflores on you , I've often wondered how it would look tied and having thought that I'm going off wearing my silks, this photo is making me change heart .

Lucky you having such a breathtaking mousse line.
