I've been trying without much success to make two scarves work! Today I finally had some time to play, but it has been rainy and dark, so the colours are not looking quite right.

But here are:
Qalamdan + Ex Libris en Kimonos

and

L'Art d'Ecrire + Carnaval de Venise (both are navy and not at all black, as they appear)
Very creative pairings, dear momasaurus! I would never have thought of pairing L'Art d'Ecrire with the much busier Carnaval, but the combination is TDF!

With Melora's permission, I'm posting sort of a reveal of my latest Mai Tai scarf rings, ending with how I've used them on Lumieres de Paris (because, really, this is a scarf thread, not a scarf ring thread, LOL!)

Photo 1: It is so exciting to get a package from France!
Photo 2: And Mai Tai wraps her boxes sooooo....
Photo 3: ... beautifully!

Now let's see the rings, for heaven's sake!

Photo 1: Wait! One more photo of her amazing packaging! ;) See? She even puts them into little pouches, so they won't scratch!
Photo 2: Okay... here they are. The 2 new ones from Mai Tai (back row), my other 2 from Mai Tai (front row),
plus one Hermes ring which I bought years & years & years ago!

Yes, but how do the new rings work on a carré?

^ I combined two scarves sewing each end together by hand stich.
I found the blog of a French lady, in which the combined stole of Courbettes et Cabrioles & Brides de Gala was introduced.
I do not recommend this way to people who do not want to damage their silks. I do not either. But her stole was incredibly beatiful and the idea of combining two different scarves touched my heart. Since then, I've been obsessed with selecting two silk twills to make my original stole.I made one stole a few years ago and fortunately the stole had a good reputation. I took the first stole apart, fortunately each scarf is still active , almost without major damages. I newly made two stoles for coming season.
Here is the second stole.
A Cheval Sur Mon Carre 14 saumon/gris perle/etoupe
Carre en Carre 06 saumon/corail/beigr rose

This is going to be a fun week! Here are a couple of photos of two scarves braided together, one with a tail and one with tail braided away.

The two scarves are Le Promenade de Longchamps and Ferronnerie.

I have been MIA but wanted to contribute for this weeks theme. I also wanted to mention that although we have theme weeks, I hope it is not discouraging people from posting their regular silks and love of their silks. The original thread is WHAT SCARF,ETC. ARE YOU WEARING TODAY? The theme weeks were developed to have some added fun, and it would be a shame for us all to miss out on vintage or newly acquired silks and the carefree and stylish silks that we all can enjoy, theme or no.

I recently acquired a lovely Parures silk and wanted to share it with you all. Then dug in my scarf drawer for something that might work for theme week. Hope everyone has a great week.

Thanks to rosamonde for the idea of the "tail." Mine is longer, because I wanted the clock to show, but I think it would be difficult to wear for more than the five minutes it took me to take photographs! ;) Rosamonde's braiding is also much better than mine... I'm sure hers would last all day. (How do you create a braid with only two scarves? I only know how to braid with three.)

This is Quai aux Fleurs twisted loosely with La Ronde des Heures. I've had La Ronde since 1986 and Quai since 1991, so they are both very soft and easy to work with.

I wear my scarves paired together very often and I've tried many different combinations so far, these are some of my favorites:

Oh my Goodness Silkies, I have been out all week and am salivating as I scan the pages. Such beautiful braids and twists and tyes. Wow!!

So I've played in my scarf drawers for a few minutes (a lovely break from what has been an insane work and travel schedule) and I've decided to pair L'Arbre de Vie and Au Coeur de la Vie. Similar names and turquoise accents, with some pinks.

The knot is pretty loose and cozy, and I think I'll try it again on colder days!http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

Sophieg, you look gorgeous and wow, marriage wears you well. Oh and the silk.

HI Cherryblossum! Thank you! I actually have two pics!

I took a pic of what I did with the 2 twilly's the other day (though only one claims illustrious H parentage, LOL) :p They did go together nicely, I think. They are just twisted together gently so that each one shows its colors and tied in a quick knot. (I live in a very hot climate and so large scarves don't make a lot of sense for me except in fall/winter, but I love my little bandeaux and twilly type scarves because they don't take up so much neck real estate and are fun all year round.)

Also, I was reading through the thread and earlier someone showed the trick of tying the wrist knot, so I had to try that today also and took a pic while waiting for hubby so we could go cabinet shopping. It works like a charm. I'd have never thought to do that around the wrist, though I use that pass through all the time on neck scarves.

The H scarf in both pics is Bouclerie D'Attelage twilly.

Thanks for letting me join in! I hope to do so again soon!

Hi ladies,

I've been a lurker here for a while, and today I have decided to share. I have a very small collection of H scarves - only 5 so far, and one is still en route to me - but I love the "Charmante aux Animaux" SO much that I have it in 2 cws! They both fit largely with separate parts of my wardrobe, so imagine my surprise to find they actually work TOGETHER....
