Sure! This is the scarf... and when I fold it on the bias and tie it in a simple square knot, all you can see is dark grey, light grey, and gold. The pink hardly shows at all... yet for my coloration, I feel as though I need the pink. Wearing so much grey next to my face just makes me look tired.:p I guess because there's a fair amount of grey in my hair!

Thank you in advance... I'm game for any suggestions!

On MaiTai's blog, there is a knot that is designed to show the center - maybe called the rose? (I'm probably making that up) You tie opposite ends together and then pull each of the free ends under the knot so the center puffs up like a flower.

I wear my scarves paired together very often and I've tried many different combinations so far, these are some of my favorites:

Art d'Ecrire + Promenade de Longchamps:

Brazil + Carneval de Venise:

Monsieur et Madame + Carré en Carrés:

These are exquisite. You've made me want a PdL to go with my AdE. Mine has more of a golden background than the very pale parchment, though.
And I love the colors in the third combo - I find that olive brown never works on me but it looks amazing with the brick red.

BirkinMary, such marvelous combinations! Interesting how some designs seem to pop up more frequently in duos (promenade).

Elaine, love your scarf conundrum and abundant advice here. Looking forward to more pictures.

Thank you, dear scarfies for your kind words.

Thank you Birdonce... I don't know how I managed before I stumbled upon Mai Tai's blog! I seem to have missed the rose, though... it doesn't sound familiar. But with your wonderful description, I'm sure I can find it. And then I will have fun experimenting! I will post a picture.

My DH is going to think I am out of my tiny mind on picture-taking day, with all these different knots to document... I can just imagine! :giggles:

ETA: I found a "Flower Knot" that she makes out of a pocket square, that does indeed bring out the center of the carré... I will try to adapt it for a 90cm. We shall see!

This is a really fun Scarf Week theme! I'm very much enjoying seeing all the combinations you ladies are coming up with, and it's fun to be creative and try something new.

OK, so I seem to be obsessed with this two-scarf braid! Here is one more, with La Ronde des Heures and Tout Cuir.

But just to prove that I am not COMPLETELY stuck on the braid, here are the same two scarves mimicking a 140 cm in the weave knot.

I think it's fun that the gentler colors showed in the braid, where we get more of the reds and navies from both scarves in the weave knot. (That's the hallmark of a great H scarf in my opinion--how many different looks you can get from it--and these are two of the favorites in my collection for just that reason!)

(P.S. Edited to add photos of the scarves unfolded. Again, please excuse the boots--archival pic!)

What terrific fun, rosamonde! I think I'll have to bring my laptop over to my bathroom mirror, so I can follow along with the adorable girl in the video, but after a few tries I'm sure I'll have it down!

I'll give it a try tomorrow, with two of my blue colorway scarves, and post a photo.

I love La Ronde, also. It was one of the first carrés that I bought. I was in San Francisco on business, carved out an hour to visit the Hermes boutique:graucho:, and I just fell in love with the different shades of green and all the timepieces. I particularly flip for the scarves that have something different in each corner!

Here is my reference photo of La Ronde:

I too love the corners in La Ronde. You have a beautiful CW for sure!

That is a great story. Finding a scarf NIB is wonderful. It was stolen from my home, not a good feeling and sad since it was my first scarf and present from my DM. But... moving on. Your combination is so skilled and really beautiful! And I like your boots, too.

Maedi, that is truly upsetting that your scarf was not only stolen, but right out of your own home. Do you have an idea of who the thief might have been, or was it a break-in? Either way, I am so sorry this happened.
